Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a great stay at Els Garroverets. We were group of 6 adults and fro kids (under 6). We enjoyed the rural scenery and beautiful house. It is well taken care of. The pool was great fun and there was lots of yard to run around. The location is perfect. It is close to the Motorway so easy access to the East and West. In Binissalem we did some grocery and bakery shopping other wise we bought food from Al Campo. We will definitely recommend this villa!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The photo's don't really do this place justice. Located just south of Alaro, it's off the beaten track, but close to pretty much every corner of the Island [one of the reasons why we chose it]. The Good: - Best provisioned house I've ever rented. Seriously, so much kitchen equipment [crockery, cutlery, pots 'n pans, machines] that we never struggled. It was like being at home. - Fantastic set-up outside. Lot's of different seating areas, masses of shade, and a beautiful garden, including a great Herb Garden that clearly had a lot of attention. - The Pool. Initially finding out that it was a salt/spring water pool was a little disappointing as it wasn't in the description. And, yes, the water tasted a little... 'funky', but actually, barely noticed it after a day, and it was very well looked after as neither my daughters hair or swimming costumes turned green for the first time in a few years away. - Bathrooms: Pretty much one bathroom per person. Shower by the pool, shower in the ground floor bathroom, and two bathrooms upstairs. No longer will you have to fight. Owner/Agent: Couldn't have been more welcoming. Fresh fruit, cake, water and a bottle of Herebas on arrival. Lovely. The Bad: -There is a railway track about 500m east of the house, but neither the trains or the air traffic are particularly noticeable. -There is no aircon in the house. Four of the bedroom have ceiling fans, and the the other 2 have portable fans. We had to shut up the house during the day to keep it cool enough, and have the fans going all night to keep the temp down enough to sleep. -Wifi. Not really enough bandwidth. Was getting a max of 3mbps down, and .25 up. With a house full of people with tablets/smartphones etc this could have been better. But I'm being exceptionally picky. If you want a lovely, spacious property, some peace, and space, great for either adults or kids this is perfect.. We all thoroughly loved out time, and would love to go back - right now. Tips: 1) The rubbish has to be taken to the local tip on the way into Alaro [opposite the Petrol station]. It is open from 7 - 10 am, and after 6pm weekdays. 2) Make sure you ask and understand how to change the gas Bottle for the hot water. I didn't, and spent a frustrating 30 minutes trying to figure out the Spanish instructions. [I used Google Translate in the end]. 3) There is a small Eroski in Alaro, but if you want a big shop, you're better driving 15 minutes down the motorway to Al Campo.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I booked this beautiful villa for myself, three other couples and our young children in September. We will definitely be returning at some point. The villa is child friendly, well equipped, spacious and has wonderful views of the surrounding country side. It's close to Palma and it's nearby beaches, we also drove to Port de Pollenca in half an hour. Great value for money, with very friendly owners who looked after us really well. Definitely recommend staying here.
