Hervé, Judy & fam Great little semi-detached accommodations. My husband and I would highly recommend if you can wash yourself in a bathroom sink and if you don’t mind going “across the street” to use the park facilities if the toilet is blocked ( no plunger available ) oh and the mattress in the main bedroom. Two craters where the last guests slept! Same issue was reported in previous reviews . I assumed that the mattress was replaced as the review dates back 2022- wrong!! It you drop something and it rolls under the bed, just right it off. Do not look under the beds!!! Owner prefers text, never returned calls. Defensive, unapologetic and dismissed our concerns. Finally he resolved the situation by offering refund on the remaining days ( as we left on Day 1). We reached out to VRBO help Center. It seemed like there was no record that there were any issues by the owner. He did not even file for the refund he said he would. And last recommendation: Bring extra food as the army of ants ( tiny sand ants) in the kitchen will swarm your food and carry it away before you get a chance to eat it.
Good location
It was a good location for the bike trail. Had to drive everywhere else. Easy drive though. Nokomis beach is great! They even have yoga. Restaurant across road was fabulous!
Was just enough for what we needed in a spot that couldn’t be more convenient. Thanks for making everything so easy!
I stayed there with my sister & mother for a couple of nights.. It was cute & clean. It was a in a central location, with an easy drive to Casey Key (Nokomis Beach), Venice Beach and Caspersen Beach where we did a little shark tooth hunting.
We had a very pleasant stay at this property and would likely stay here again, especially since the price is so reasonable. The location was great and the property was clean. We did have a couple challenges - first, the mattress on the bed in the main bedroom was pretty bad. Second, the property is a duplex with thin walls. You can hear a lot of activity next door. Thankfully, they usually settled down between about 10 and 10:30 pm. We liked having access to Netflix to relax after a busy day at the beach!
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. There is a fun playground and park across the street which was great for our kids. The beach is a short drive away but still requires some planning to get there early if you're going during a busy time. Parking can be hard to find. There are several restaurants in walking distance, including Nokomos which was delicious! The unit itself was clean and cute. It was not clear from the listing that it was a duplex, which was fine, except it does increase the neighboring noise factor. A few minor repairs are needed but the owner communicated that they are aware and are planning to address these. The biggest downside for me was the bed in the master bedroom. It's listed as a queen but looks more like a double, though I didn't measure. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, so much so that we slept on the pull out couch in the living room instead.
I was reluctant at first not knowing the area but in the end our stay and the property served our purpose perfectly. There were beaches close which made it easy to decide where to go depending what your plans might be for the day. We spent most of our time at Siesta Key beach which was fairly close within 20 minutes or so depending on traffic but didn’t need to travel that far for a perfect sunset. Thank you Lance for a great place and hospitality.
