Iola, Kansas
Relax with the family in our 100-year-old bungalow. We offer 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6. The interior is newly remodeled, including new central heat and air. As with any older home, it's not perfect. We are still sprucing up the outside. There is a private paved driveway for your convenience. You will enter the large living room, complete with hardwood floors and a limestone gas fireplace. There is a designated workspace featuring a desk. Two bedrooms include plush queen-size beds. The third bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed. We have provided a high chair and pack 'n play to make traveling with children easier. The kitchen is complete with stove, refrigerator, Keurig, microwave, and dishes needed to help you prepare home-cooked meals during your stay. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood while relaxing on the porch swing on the large cozy front porch. Our home is 3 blocks from the largest town square in the U.S. It is also a short bike ride from the Lehigh Portland Trails and the Prairie Spirit Trail State Park. Iola is the home of Allen Community College.
Clean, well appointed and even had a very nice lit Christmas tree. Quiet older neighborhood and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. You can tell that the renovation was well thought out. The location was very central to the town and easy in and easy out. Thumbs up.
Our bungalow was clean, well equipped, and honestly a wonderful stay for the price. The hosts were wonderful as well!
Owners are very informative & responsive. They have done a good job remodeling and decorating the home. We would definitely stay here again.
This property was just lovely. It was very clean and comfortable in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The owners were great and I would gladly stay here again.
Place was really nice and clean. Was all we needed as we were just staying the night to move our son into college the next day. Only complaint is neighbors dogs (not sure which ones) had dogs outside that barked the entire night. Other than that the place is perfect
This VRBO is a clean, comfortable home with all necessities. Nice and quiet.
Loved the house—lots of small touches like coffee and candy that made our stay more enjoyable and convenient. Misty and Bill are super responsive to any question. We already re-booked for next summer!
I was in Iola for work. I loved staying at the Bungalow. Comfortable, clean and near downtown. Everything was perfect!
This property is a nice older home. The owners are still in the process of redoing a few things, but that didn't effect the comfort of this stay.
My father and I stayed at this property during a hunting trip for seven days. Bill and Misty have thought of everything. The house is exquisitely clean. We loved the character of the 100 year old hardwood floors which have been meticulously restored. In fact, it looked like everything in the entire house has been completely redone and the owners could not have done a better job! There’s no question that this is where we will be staying the next time we’re in town.
Easy to find and close to shopping and restaurants.
Cute little house was perfect for us. Had a couple of questions and hosts were very responsive. Quiet neighborhood too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this recently renovated home. Iola is where my family lived from the early 1920’s to 1960. Staying in a home of the era in which they lived, in the neighborhood in which they lived, made for an unforgettable experience. The homeowners have done an wonderful job making this home an inviting and comfortable place to stay. We even extended our stay by several days (thank you Misty). Sadly, we didn’t have time to attend any productions at The Bowlus, which is within walking distance. Maybe next time! Would happily recommend a stay here.
The bungalow met all of our needs, was clean and welcoming. Bill and Misty were great to work with. We enjoyed our weekend visiting family and staying here.
The bungalow was fit for a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect. The town of Iola is beautiful, hospitable, and charming.
Thank you for the charming retreat where I was able to recharge and enjoy spending time with my family.
Would stay again.
This place worked great for our family as we were visiting the area. Clean and the owners were great!
