Just one house back from beautiful white sandy world famous 'Ke Iki Beach', this house is nicely appointed and waiting for you. Has very spacious, and comfortable living area with open kitchen and dining room with 2 queen bedrooms with a/c (window units in bedrooms only) and 2 full baths. (Only bedrooms have a/c) There is also a nice sized lanai with an ocean view plus a propane grill for cooking after your day of surfing, diving or touring the island. House is steps to the sand with private path and is gated. We are on the beach side of the Kam Hwy. Very comfortable for 4-6 people. Bedrooms have a/c. Has washer and dryer inside, covered parking and is next to the 4 mile bike path that runs from Sunset Beach to Waimea Bay. House is very close to Foodland and Shark's Cove, which is a wonderful dive and snorkeling spot during the summer months. You can watch the big waves and whales in the winter months on this beach; very popular with the locals, including famous photographer, Clark Little, often found in this famous shorebreak taking photos! Walk for miles on this beautiful beach that is known for it's many commercials and movies that have been filmed here over the years! Truly a slice of paradise for you to enjoy at a reasonable price!

The washer looks like it is on it's last leg. It is starting to rust and fall apart, also the dryer lint collector was very difficult to empty. The smoke alarm is so sensitive, it went off constantly even when we made toast!! I was afraid to cook in the house. Lastly, we were hoping for more beach toys for grown ups like some boogie boards etc. BUT these are only requests. The stay was nice, the house was very comfortable, the location was good, our host was very nice and instructions were simple. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!!
Overall the place and location was great.
This is a great place. I knew the neighborhood and area would be perfect, but the house exceeded expectations. It’s really convenient, near the beach, near snorkeling and food. We rented bikes for the week from North Shore Bike Rentals, and that gave my teens and I the freedom to get around easily. The house is well built, has A/C, is very comfy… the kitchen is well stocked and the grill works if you want to make food at home! You are 1 house from the beach with a private entrance, and it’s a great spot for swimming and family time. It’s really a wonderful vacation home, perfectly relaxed and ideal for north shore relaxing.
Great location, clean, lovely home with all the necessary amenities. Foodland grocery and Coffee Bean less than ten min walk or 1 min car drive! Will definitely stay here again. Thank you!!!!
My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks in October along with our daughter and 2 young grandkids. They kids were sick for part of the stay and so we took turns staying home with them for a few days. It was absolutely miserable!!! So hot and stuffy. The air conditioner was not enough for the whole house. The fans did nothing. I called and got nothing. I was told i would get a partial refund for the inconvenience. Never happened. I paid quite a bit for 2 weeks. Not worth it!!!!!! This was my first time going to beautiful Hawaii. The island was amazing but the stay, not so great. Very disappointed.
This is a great place to stay. Two bedrooms, so the two grand boys and my wife and I each had our own bedroom in our own bathroom. A large open the main room that was kitchen/relaxing and chilling spot, and a little path, but let down the side of the beach house in front of us, so we were literally three minutes away from the beach. The beach here can be a steep, and the waves can be big, depending upon whether and tides, so smaller kids really need to be watched. However, you are a 10 minute walk/2 minute drive from sharks Cove, named because the cove looks like a shark. There’s a large break water that creates calm waters that are anywhere from ankle twice deep… In some places over your head… And the snorkeling there is great. Lots of fish to look at. The cold is made the top 10 family friendly, snorkeling spots. We were there in really rough seas, there is one spot in the middle of the cove, through which water can stream when the waves hit, and it creates a bit of a current. Stay away from that and you’re fine. If you’re taking a car down, get there early for a parking spot in the little lot connected to the park next to the cove. You’re only two or three blocks from Foodland a little grocery store. And you’re about a five minute drive from Ted’s bakery. They also serve breakfast, lunch, dinner… We had a great breakfast, sitting on the picnic tables under the awning outside the bakery. Plan about an hour to travel from here to Honolulu, so crank some tunes and chill.
Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at Ke Iki beach. The access to the beach was easy and so accessible. It's almost like a private beach with not a lot of visitors. Crystal clear water with the best sunsets views. Great access to Foodland Grocery store, local food trucks and Sharks Cove. The house was just as listed/described. Only complaint with the house was not having a working outdoor shower or faucet. Both bedrooms have window AC units and worked perfectly. The main open area (kitchen/dinning/living) has a portable AC unit. During the day, it gets very warm in the open area, but worked well at night and early morning. We also stayed at the house in August, so outdoor temps were extremely high. We would definitely recommend this property and location!
Great little cottage -- seemed to have everything our group of 6 adults needed -- 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, futon, large living space with tv/wifi, modern kitchen and a nice balcony for morning coffee. Got a little warm during the day -- as we opened the windows and kept the 3 window air units off during the day (one in each bedroom, one in living space), and then turned on in the evening for sleeping (was very comfortable). Bedrooms now have faux wood tile flooring (carpet in photos is gone) -- very nice. Kitchen has ample dishware, cookware, appliances, etc. Was nice to see some spices/condiments left behind and available for our use. We added to them. Loved having a washer and dryer -- could've packed a lot less (note for next time). Parking was good for our rented Toyota 4-Runner -- and loved having the auto security fence. Management and cleaning were professional and responsive -- greatly appreciated. Unit looks like it's in the process of being updated (mostly complete). Only items needing a little extra love are some loose and torn screens (small tears), back balcony rail repair, and some fresh paint on the walls. Have spent several weeks renting homes on the beach on the north shore -- the beach is usually quiet and uncrowded (Logs/Pipe) except during surf contests (which we enjoy). The beach in front of this unit is big and beautiful -- but did run in to WAY more public beach traffic, including overnight camping/parties and the rude son (per his own declaration) of the owner of the bungalows 3 doors down , at this location (likely because of it's proximity to Foodland/Sharks Cove/Food Trucks? Or maybe because of summer crowds or the end of a pandemic?). Regardless -- very much enjoyed our stay -- and would recommend this unit to any group of 4-5.
We loved our stay. This house is steps away from the beach and located in the mix of the North Shore. It is easy access (just a short drive) to all the best surf the Oahu has to offer. We had a great time watching sunsets on Ke Iki beach and bbq'ing on the lanai.
This was our first time in Hawaii and we had a magical vacation. My family of 6 (ages 13, 16, 19, 21, 53 and 58) just got home from our amazing stay at this property and everyone says it was their favorite vacation. The house is exactly as described, except now they have an AC unit that cools the main part of the house. All of the beds were comfortable. My husband and I stayed in the master queen bedroom. My two younger daughters stayed in the other queen bedroom. My 21 year old son slept on the futon and my 19 year old daughter slept on the couch and they both reported being very comfortable. What I want to emphasize to anyone who is reading this review is how AMAZING Ke Iki Beach is!! Pictures do not do this beach justice. This house sits behind the main house, but it's so close to the beach! This beach is only for residents so it is not crowded at all! It feels like you are on your own private beach. The beach is huge and and the water is pristine! Another major positive about this property is it's location. You are in walking distance to Shark's Cove. It has amazing snorkeling. I would suggest bringing water shoes because the terrain getting into the cove is pretty rough on tender feet. (we didn't, but wish we did) You can walk to the Food Trucks and Foodland. The Food Trucks were okay, but we loved the Poke that is made daily at the Foodland deli. You can either walk or drive to Sunset Beach where you can access the Sunset Beach hike. The trail is next to Sunset Beach Elementary and the views are spectacular. If you love being on the beach this is the property for you! Aloha! Laura
