Renovated 5BR 5BA Island Home - Sleeps 16, 2 Golf Carts - Walk to Beach + Pool

BOOK THE TRIP!!!! We stayed with our family of 11 here and had plenty of room. The house is stocked with beach gear, sand toys and anything you could need for a day at the beach. The location is fabulous. The house has everything you could possibly need for cooking and preparing meals. Just a short walk or quick golf cart ride to the beach. The serenity and peace that this island brings doesn’t compare to any other place we’ve been in FL. It will be our new vacation spot moving forward. Very quiet, small crowds and beautiful beaches. We ate at Mango’s and Main Stay and they were wonderful. Everyone we encountered on the island were so friendly and helpful. It is a slice of paradise right here in the States. We loved it!

The property needs better cleaning inside and on the grounds. The golf carts are old and in terrible shape.

We had 3 families with 6 adults and 6 kids and there was plenty of room for all of us. The island is beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed the convenience how close the beach was with golf carts. We did have an issue with one of the golf carts the whole time. The charge did not last long and we were almost stranded a couple of times. I think the battery just needs to be replaced. The pool worked the first day and the last day of our stay. Something was broken and it was losing water the whole time. We had to keep a garden hose in it to keep the water level high enough to not burn the pump up. The management company did not do a good job of prioritizing the repair, but as soon as I talked to the host she made sure they were out to fix it. The house itself is more worn-in than the pictures suggest, but you'll have that with any rental property. We ate at all the restaurants on the island and the food was delicious. Our favorite spot was Mainstays. If you arrange ferries to and from and groceries in advance, you will be able to relax and enjoy the laid back vibe of North Captiva.

The house was great for our family! The island and all the folks who work on the island, were GREAT!!! I wouldn’t recommend arriving much earlier than your check in time if your house isn’t ready:) Other than that, everything was perfect.

We had a great time during our stay on North Captiva. The location was a short distance from the beach and very quiet. Exactly what we wanted!There were a couple issues (cleanliness of the decks and pool) that were addressed by the property manager. Communication with the owner was excellent…very responsive.We had a wedding during our stay and had dress clothes that needed to be hung up. Closet space was a challenge in some of the bedrooms…-The closet in one of king bedrooms was locked. -The closet in the other king bedroom was full of linens and supplies that reduced space for guests.-The bedroom on the top floor did not have a closet.

Beautiful, spacious well appointed house in a great location. Communicating with the host was easy and the property manager was very helpful.

Wonderful vacation home for our entire family. Loved the homes layout, plenty of room for everyone, lots to do outside, and even though it was very hot during our stay, the air conditioner worked great and a welcome reprieve from the heat. We did not think we would use the pool after being at the beach all day, but because it was partly shaded everyone jumped in and swam for a while. Great memories were created !!

Wonderful stay with a large family of 16. Dreamcatcher is a beautifully decorated home that had everything we needed! From the gorgeous views, comfortable beds, nice showers, and fully stocked kitchen it is truly a slice of paradise! There were two golf carts to explore the island but also a short walk to the beach where we watched the most beautiful sunsets. Would highly recommend and hope to stay at Dreamcatcher again!

We are Florida natives and choose to vacation on North Captiva regularly...whenever we arrive we assess what we have and what we need...this property manager (supported by the owner) was the most excellent of all our stays. The response time was was next day if not sooner. Every beach house has a personality and this one fit the myriad personalities of our three generation family from 6-78...best of all the golf carts were dependable and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Chose this for a family retreat to celebrate my wife’s birthday. It was a wonderful experience. Laurie and her concierge team were especially helpful in navigating transportation, supplies and coordination issues on a semi remote island. Property was perfect for 3 families w/kids. The beach is beautiful and the weather was outstanding during our stay. The boys were very excited about the opportunity to surf fish. One family even did a day’s fishing charter. Even the single day that it rained was relaxing. Everyone said it was great to unplug without all the peripheral activities. Resident’s tip…be careful if you’re making toast as the smoke detector is very sensitive.

This house worked well for our family trip. Pictures inside are accurate and spaces worked well to have a large group. We did run into a couple of issues:Listing shows that you are part of the Island Club VIP Membership. We did not have access to this. Not too big of a deal since there is still a pool by Mangos for non club members, but would've been awesome to have access to bikes and kayaks. Ended up renting bikes for an afternoon, but would've used them more than once and would definitely have used the kayaks. Pool at the house was absolutely not useable during our stay. Didn't even look like it was running. Property managers knew and apologized, but didn't fix it. We wouldn't have used it anyway because it is TINY. But if you had little kids who wanted to swim while you grill, you'd want to use it. PROSHaving included golf carts was amazing!Weather was perfect over spring break. It's a very relaxing island with no real nightlife. Mangos pool bar was greatOver The Waterfront was a highlight - food was incredible!CONSNo ice maker in the freezer and it was definitely island pricing for ice.There is still quite a bit of hurricane damage on the island.

We took our multigenerational family for a few days of quiet & sunshine. They loved the place so mush that they want to go back next year!We had a few problems with the house but the management team made it right.Lovely place to spend a few days - or more!
