Clean, quiet, well-equipped house in a beautiful area. Check-in was easy and we had a wonderful stay!
I forgot how beautiful it was on Fallbush Mountain. I was there for the weekend to support my son during his father's memorial service. With the loss of his dad, he now owns the cabin down the hill from you (next door). It was so helpful being close to him during this difficult time. I loved your place. It was so comfortable and homey. I will defiantly come back again and stay during family events/weekends. It is so convient to just walk through the woods to next door to be with everyone. ;-)
The house was as described. The place was lovely!!! The Owner was quick to reply to VBRO chats - I’m grateful. Excellent stay - quiet area - secluded and beautiful!
Great place in the middle of the nature to relax for a weekend with the family
Lovely, quiet, and relaxing. Lots of wildlife, and several things to do not far away really enjoyed this beautiful cabin and would be happy to return.
Cabin had everything you needed for a mountain escape, even extra fire wood. Well cared for, clean and peaceful. Make sure to pack everything you need as far as food and supplies, as cabin is definitely in a remote setting. Lots of deer, so watch out if arriving after dark. We had a very relaxing weekend and we would definitely come back.
Very clean and well kept property in a beautiful setting. Thanks for the wonderful spot to get away!
This cabin was perfect to get away from the daily grind and relax in nature. My dog and I loved exploring the woods and relaxing by the campfire. We will definitely be back!
Everything was fantastic. Other guests had left spices behind for flavorful cooking. Quiet quiet quiet! Can do some real good meditation. The dog enjoyed every moment that when he was inside he was sleeping. Plenty of movies for a stormy day. Only thing I can say is lil off was the online said I arrived at my location a house or 2 too early. I didnt see any sign even the the host mentioned there would be one, so go figure it was the wrong place. Dont trust the online trust the host hahaha! Otherwise its truly a place to getaway!
The cabin was serene. Neighbors were few and far between. Cozy and convenient. Close to parks, trails and mountain drives. Would go again.
When I think of A-frame mountain house, this is quintessentially what I think of; and the pics undersell how beautiful the house really is. I'm really into architecture that is both crisp and respectful of its environment, and this place is exactly that. I loved sitting outside and looking back at the frame. Inside, it was well appointed, clean and, comfortable to kick back and relax. The wifi was fast and I did a couple of work Zoom calls, but keep in mind that you are up in the mountains of WV so cell signal stopped well before the bottom of the hill. I grew up on a farm with a single draw well, so I'm used to water that has a slight sentiment and/or odor but if you're finicky, just bring a jug or two of distilled water. We brought sheets towels etc but didn't need to as we found all of already there and set up for us! Keep your location in mind in case you want to eat out. It's not like walking down the block in Philly, but the two places we found about 20 miles away were excellent. Check in was easy, and took less time than a hotel. The property manager / owner was helpful and stayed in communication the whole weekend. I don't really have any negatives to say about a place if you're wanting to get away and (semi) disconnect from the online world.
Before we arrived, the owner gave us a thorough and detailed guide about what to expect during our stay. This was very helpful, and I appreciated the additional information and communication leading up to the trip. When we arrived, the cabin was in great shape, clean, and comfortable (also loved the trial-sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash!). The cabin was exactly as advertised and exceeded our expectations, though as other reviewers have pointed out, make sure to bring your own potable water to drink if you're not used to well water. Overall an excellent experience—highly recommended for a quiet weekend stay that is close to nature!
