RELAXED CORONADO BEACH HOUSE Dog Friendly

My wife and I stayed here for a month in March, with our two cats. Ed and Kat were great hosts, quick to respond and great suggestions for the area. They even gave us and our two cats a gift package each! The home is gorgeous, better than the pictures, very private, quiet location, close to the beach and the pier. We have stayed at numerous other VRBOs, this one was the best! Well appointed, with pretty much everything you need, hot tub was great, gas fireplace was perfect, great balcony off master bdrm, private everywhere, we would go back anytime. Place was very clean thanks to Claudia! Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed!

We arrived to meet Ed, the owner, on the property prepared to show us all the amenities and the surrounding area. He was most helpful and was always available by text to answer questions. The home is beautiful and everything we hoped it would be. It was relaxing and quiet in a lovely neighborhood. We were able to leave the doors open during the day and enjoy a great cool breeze throughout the house. We had everything we needed to enjoy a month away from home. It was a short walk to the beach and the pool. It is a short drive into Coronado and San Diego. We highly recommend this home if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay for a month. The outside patio living is so gorgeous it takes your breath away. It is truly a well loved home and feels like home away from home. Thank you Ed and Kat for a great stay.

The house is very comfortable. It's quite large and had plenty of room for the 3 of us. It's in a nearly ideal location on Coronado. It's close to downtown without being downtown. The state beach nearby is an easy walk away and not crowded at all. And there's quick driving access to San Diego at one end and Chula Vista and Tijuana at the other. The hosts are very warm and hospitable. This is clearly a beloved place for them, and they are very pleased to share it with newcomers. They took special care to make our son and our dogs feel very welcome.

We couldn't have been more happy with the property at Coronado Cays. We stayed for one week over 4th of July with family and a one and a half year old. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay: kayaks, beach chairs, bicycles, even a cooler on wheels. The house was fully stocked with all the cooking supplies needed and the outdoor grill got a lot of use. The hot tub was wonderful, even in July the nights get a little chilly and it was the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day. The beds were extremely comfortable, and ample space in all the bathrooms. The TV was set up with everything we needed, but we didn't use it much because we spent most of our time outside. The property is about 5 miles from downtown coronado. This was a perfect morning run to get coffee or a short skateboard or bike ride. The only consideration would be that you need a rental car if you don't want to use public bus system. Although this property was not right downtown, we enjoyed the quiet of the Cays including the sailboats, bay, and silver strand beach. We were able to rent a sailboat from Lowes, but there is an unlimited amount of activities to enjoy there including paddle-boards, surfboards, a power boat. It is also a great place to get a cocktail in the evenings. Ed and Kat were the perfect hosts, and were available all week by phone for any of our concerns. They have lived there for many years and were great tour guides, pointing us to all the best spots and the best way to navigate Coronado on the 4th of July. They clearly cared that we had a great overall experience and did their best to make us feel at home.

Ed & Kat greeted us when we arrived and welcomed us into their home for the week. They gave us a tour, went over all the important things, and made us feel extremely welcomed and comfortable. They had even left us a gift basket with some wine and snacks…including snacks for our 2 pups that we brought with us! They were easy to reach when we had a question here and there and were so nice! The house was even more beautiful than we imagined, the pictures don’t do the place justice. It was the quintessential beach retreat and we were thrilled to be staying there for the week!! It was private, cozy, relaxing, and just perfect. Everything you can imagine was provided to just move in and feel right at home. We had planned to visit so much of San Diego during our time there but we only left Coronado once. The place was so relaxing that we never wanted to venture out! It really and truly was the rest and relaxation we were looking for in our vacation away from our hectic jobs. The beach was just a quick walk and was amazing to see every day. The silver strand is beautiful, and since we went in October, it was virtually empty. We took the pups to the beach 2 times a day and let them run and chase birds. They had so much fun, and we had even more fun watching them. One of the best things we liked about the location was the “Yappy Hour” twice a day. There is a park just a quick walk away and everyone from the neighborhood brings their dogs to run and play. Everyone was so nice and friendly!! This was the highlight of our dog’s vacation and they had so much fun. Our stay was truly idyllic and Ed and Kat are extremely generous for sharing their amazing home. We travel a lot, and no doubt they have created one of the most beautiful, relaxing spaces we have been to. Thank you Ed and Kat…you were such gracious hosts and we can’t wait to come back and stay again!!
