    You can't do anything about the weather. We were reminded of that axiom during our stay at this house this past February. As Canadians, we continued wearing shorts during the course of our stay. But it was chilly. Weird for Feb we were told repeatedly.Anyway, I digress. The house and John, the host, were everything we hoped for. The house was lovely inside. Bright, cozy and very well-stocked. We loved it. As did our grown kids. John was easy to contact, responsive and understanding. (How do you work Netflix, John!) In summary, Coronado is a lovely destination with everything available within walking distance. We also found the Community Center with all the options for activities, a friendly and terrific place (the pool areas to die for!) for us. And biking the Silver Strand--headwinds and all--was something we happily did repeatedly. We'd love to return someday. Hopefully another time when the weather cooperates.

    The Adella house was simply amazing. Walking in and out each day, of this bright, cheery, and charming house, made our vacation. We loved the expansive patios, and all the amenities this property had to offer. John, the owner, was super responsive and accommodating, which made this such an easy vacation spot. We cannot wait to get back to this “paradise” next summer!

    This beautiful house in Coronado, CA was ours for 5 weeks. The house is spectacular and the owner's attention to detail and comfort is amazing. The house is a complete remodel with many period details left in place but with all the comforts and convenience of home. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished with plenty of room for us and our guests to spread out. The master suite was divine (love all the storage and the two shower head shower)! We most enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the porch under the pergola, daily dips in the hot tub/plunge pool, and bike rides around the island or down the Strand. The location couldn't be better since a few blocks walk in one direction got us to town for shopping or to our many favorite restaurants; a few block walking in a different direction was the beach (my personal fav- beach walks) and the Del for a glass of wine and front row seating for evening sunsets. A short walk in a third direction led to the tennis center, Coronado golf course (my husband's favorite) and the bike/walking path (comfortable new bikes provided). Of course, downtown San Diego and the San Diego Airport is just a ferry ride or 15-20min drive. John, the owner, was readily available for any questions or issues. We look forward to returning to this house next year since everything was so perfect this year (except the weather! John, can we change that for next year??)

    This home was nothing short of perfect for our family. Every detail of the beautiful home was done with such amazing and high quality detail, it took my breath away the first time I stepped inside (pictures do not do it justice). Every square inch of this home was thought through and done with such beautiful detail. Our family stayed in this home for more than 3 months and it felt like home right away. The landlord, John, made sure to make us feel at home and treated us as though we were friends from the start by inviting my husband to watch a football game and have a beer. We loved that the house had a back granny flat for guests to come and stay with us, but have their own privacy. The location of the home could not be beat, EVERYTHING is walkable from this location. We walked to the Hotel Del, parks for the kids, and all the shops on Orange almost everyday. There are 4 bikes and a tandem bike in the garage for everything that was not walkable, which was also amazing and super memorable for our family. We LOVED everything about this home and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay on the island.
