We're serving up a cozy cottage off the beaten path! Welcome to Relax Inn, a comfortable home in a superb location for adventure enthusiasts.



The Space:

This property is ideal for those who want to be out-and-about enjoying Donner and Lake Tahoe and come back to a welcoming retreat.



The living room is fit for extra snug evenings… just turn on your favorite movie, open up the sofa sleeper for maximum comfort, and turn on the gas fireplace to create a no-hassle ambiance.



The kitchen comes equipped with a full suite of appliances and everything you may need to enjoy meals at home. Steps from the kitchen a dining table seats 6 in a cozy corner of the home that boasts large windows that allow natural light.



We know there’s nothing like firing up the grill to enjoy prime steaks and roasted veggies. No matter what the weather, a gas BBQ awaits on the covered deck for you to create your most salivating entrees.



The home can accommodate up to 8 guests between 4 bedrooms. Each room is located on the 2nd floor and is outfitted with cozy linens to ensure everyone has a restful stay. If additional space is needed, the couch in the living room converts to a sofa sleeper.



Bedroom #1 offers a King bed and en-suite. The en-suite highlights a shower/tub combo.

Bedroom #2 is complete with a Full bed

Bedroom #3 is configured with a Queen bed, a Twin-over-Twin bunk bed, and a TV.

Bedroom #4 is well equipped with a Queen bed



In addition to the primary en-suite, an additional 2 full bathrooms are available to serve guests. One bathroom is located on the main floor downstairs and has a stand-up shower. The other bathroom, located upstairs, is outfitted with a shower/tub combo.



THINGS TO NOTE:

- A washer/dryer is available for guest use

- Strictly NO smoking

- A bear box is located at the end of the driveway for safe trash disposal. Additional instructions will be provided in your check-in details

-There is space for up to 4 vehicles on the driveway and 1 vehicles in the garage



Truckee is a small town in Northern California with some big-time soul becoming a hotspot for outdoor enthusiasts because of its access to an endless list of outdoor attractions. If you’re looking to hike, the property is less than a mile from Donner Lake Rim Trail (Trailhead Bermgarten). Or, test your golf game at Coyote Moon Golf Course or Tahoe Donner Association, 2 superb golf courses that can be reached in less than a 5-minute drive. Historic Downtown Truckee is a 10-minute drive where you can enjoy shopping, dining, and historic walking tours. In under 25-minutes, you can be at Northstar California Resort, a popular destination for avid skiers and mountain bikers that offers additional offerings such as; spas, pools, kids camp, and more! A drive to picturesque Lake Tahoe is 25-minutes.



Tahoe Donner HOA Amenities – Guest Information



Guests have access to 6 Tahoe Donner Short-Term Tenant (STR) passes, which provide entry to select Tahoe Donner HOA amenities, including the Trout Creek Recreation Center (pools, hot tubs, gym, sauna), private beach access (summer only), and other HOA facilities.



Access Fees:

HOA amenities require a daily access fee, paid directly to Tahoe Donner. Fees vary by amenity, age, and season and are not included in your reservation. Full details can be found on the Tahoe Donner website.



2026 STR Tenant Card Blackout Dates



STR Tenant Card access to PRIVATE HOA amenities is unavailable on the following dates:

Feb 14–16 (Presidents’ Day)

May 23–25 (Memorial Day)

July 1–5 (July 4th)

Sept 5–7 (Labor Day)

Nov 26–29 (Thanksgiving)

Important to Know:

STR Tenant Cards are NOT required for public Tahoe Donner amenities, even during blackout dates.

Guests are always welcome at public amenities at public rates.

    The arrival instructions had incorrect directions to the property--they were inconsistent with the property address. A call to Grand Welcome beforehand resolved the issue: using the address we arrived without difficulty. We needed 4WD to get into the driveway because it had about a foot of ice/snow. We were advised beforehand of the need for 4WD. There was some ice on the wood steps to the front porch that required some care. A nice addition would be a heavy throw rug near the front door--a place to remove snowy boots, to keep the carpet dry. All that aside, we very much enjoyed our stay at Relax Inn. The free-standing thermostat-controlled gas fireplace warmed the whole house, and made the living room quite pleasant. We did not need to activate the upstairs electric baseboard heaters. The beds were comfortable and had adequately warm covers. Everything was clean. The kitchen was well equipped (though a silicone spatula would have been handy). The dishwasher looked very new, and was very quiet. There were a goodly number of very nice plates, bowls, and glasses, and plenty of silverware. The WiFi was good. There is a La Crosse home weather station that helped us prepare for our outings--to very nearby Tahoe Donner Cross Country. All of us agree that we would like to stay at this property again.
