Stayed Oct 9, 2023First off, we did enjoy our stay. It's a lovely little spot, out of the way where we enjoyed some peace and quiet. Check in was a little bumpy, because we received our final communication from Ana for check in while we were on the island, but there was no instructions on where to go or how to find it. This was resolved, but only on the day of. The bigger issue, which the owner/managers had no control over was that we had to pack up and leave a day early because of a wildfire enveloping the valley in front of us. We were out hiking for day and came back to fire, smoke and all sorts of emergency vehicles on the road. We packed up ans were out within an hour. I have to say that we were disappointed with the assistance that we received from the managers. There was little communication from them while this was going on and no follow up to make sure that we got settled somewhere else. We ended up booking a hotel near the airport.

Stayed Jun 11, 2023We stayed in the apartment in Ribeira da Janela, a very beautiful part of the island. The apartment is tiny inside but has a nice terrace with the most amazing view. The kitchen is tiny as well, do not expect to be cooking together, one person just fits. The communication with the owners was very kind and helpful. The house is rustic yet clean, and the bed is quite squeaky and old so don't expect the best nights of your life, but overall we had an amazing and peaceful stay. Thank you!

Stayed Jun 24, 2019This property was away from the tourist routes situated high in the mountains. The views were spectacular and the Island beautiful. The amenities were 10 minutes drive away and it was a great spot for discovering the island. A car is a necessity. . When we arrived we discovered the following omissions, no toilet roll, no kettle or small pan to boil water ( there was a coffee machine), no tea towels no bin liners and no cereal bowls. There was no clothes airer or any leaflets about the island . All these things I would have expected in holiday accommodation. When we contacted the letting agency , they provided a tea towel and toilet paper in 24 hours, also told us to expect a kettle, which when it arrived was a second coffee making machine ! Overall we really enjoyed our stay here, marred only by the missing items - still no kettle !
