Excellent area… Speechless.
Great place to stay and the owner was a joy to meet. Hopefully get to go back out again.
Great place big living kitchen.
This was our second time staying at the Red Cliff Lodge. It was beautiful. Mark is always welcoming and made our family getaway easy. Thank you Mark once again
It was a great place to stay at. We enjoyed the remoteness of it.
The property owner had everything set up so convenient. There was so much to do and we didn’t have to bring anything but food. The property, the house, and the porches were so big and cozy. It’s a must for winter vacation! We are considering rebooking for the summer too! No cell reception was great for a true break. Also the house number is really 9207
It was a great experience, perfect for hunting trips. Will stay again
This cabin worked perfect for what we were using it for.
Clean and spacious home with large open living space for large groups...we had 17 in our group and all were comfortable. Far enough from neighboring cabins to give a sense of privacy. Thoughtful owner provided bird seed and hummingbird food...the kids loved it! Only downside was that the river (though we could see and hear it) was across the road and down a steep incline. Not really very accessible. However, we could drive a short way to a more accessible spot.
It was in a very beautiful setting, but it was a one hour drive from Dolores to the property. The web site didn't make that clear. Had we known that, we would have chosen a different listing. The property was old as we could see from the photos, but it was really a fixer upper. The bottom floor was storace room for clutter and it smelled so keep the doors closed.
My family had an awesome time during our stay in the cabin. Mark, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. We plan to definitely rent the property again.
The cabin was beautiful, the host (Mark) was wonderful. He was very happy to help with any questions we had and great with anything we needed. The upper deck was furnished with muilpty tables and chairs and a grill( which we used). The commercial stove in kitchen was great and the kitchen was stocked with pots and pots, plates, etc... The beds were comfortable and lots of towels as we did have a party of 16. I will say that you just need to prepare yourself for a long drive to cabin. As it's about 35 miles out of Dolores on rd 38 and about half of it is on gravel. Also, the address needs to be updated to the 911 address which the older address is not correct on the Google maps or Apple maps. The internet did work but calling out on cell phone was a little difficult. The trails for utv (ohv) was amazing. You don't have to go anywhere. Make Redcliff your base and staging area and off you go. I would recommend downloading Ride Command (will say Polaris for the app) for the trails in that area. It worked great!! Mark was a great host!!
We had a group of 14. 1. Stove had no dial/knob marks. Very difficult to cook with without them. Inaccurate settings. 2. Washer/dryer area in basement very dank, dirty, disheveled, dusty appliances, trash piling up from our visit. 3. Mr Coffee 12 cup pot took 45 minutes to brew, so we bought another (30 cup) at a thrift store. Took 20 minutes. 4. Accommodations were adequate, supplies ok, vintage electric stove served as bread storage. 5. “Carpeted” upstairs bath was hard to dry out. 6. Host was informative and nice, but sort of eased over some of the “rough” parts. 7. Think we might come back, but the house is a “work in progress” and needs work. Rustic is ok but it has some repairs needed. 8. Place appears to be for sale 9. Needs lighting help inside! 10. Little on the musty side. Drapes, furniture and carpets.
Nice rustic home in a beautiful mountain setting. Old but very comfortable. Everyone in our group was very happy their stay and would come back again.
This was a nice place to gather and spend time with extended family. The host was very nice and gracious. The Geyser springs hike is very close and the stream is really pretty at the parking lot for the trailhead. Beautiful location.
