Portsmouth, Virginia
Built in 1937, this is a well-preserved single family residence in a quiet neighborhood of stately homes. You will be one block from Crawford Bay and the scenic Swimming Point Walk, and just a few minutes' stroll to the Naval Hospital, or through Olde Towne's quaint gardens and centuries of preserved buildings. Delightful restaurants like the Biergarden, Thai Basil, and a fabulous deep dish pizza and local brews will reward a 10 minute walk to High Street. An 8 minute walk gets you to a ferry ride across the Elizabeth River to Norfolk, with the ballpark, the Battleship Wisconsin, & nightlife in the Neon district.
But you may not want to leave: a well-equipped kitchen invites you to have your relatives over for a meal, an evening of board games and fellowship.
We have 3 bedrooms, all queen beds; 1.5 baths. Off-street parking along a secluded drive way leads back to a level 2 EV charging station (will be installed this winter).
What a lovely stay! My wife and I were in Portsmouth for a Naval Hospital appointment, but settled right into comfy leather seating and an Olde Town experience. After walking over to the hospital (near!) we took a strolling tour of adjacent historic neighborhoods and along the harbor. Our grandkids had toys and books to keep them happy while we had a sunny family chat time on the glass porch (live plants abound through the house). Tudor Treasure is just that: well-equipped, very clean, and charming. We'll have to return; this was a wonderful VRBO visit.
