Stayed Jun 11, 2025It is a nice property, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. The only downside is that it could use a bit more maintenance and cleaning, particularly in the kitchen. Overall, it is a place we would recommend

Stayed May 24, 2024Enjoyed the space we had for 10 guests. Everything was clean but for the pots, pans & dish wear (at least to our standards), we didn't mind washing everything before we used the items. Hosts were most generous with all the supplies and linens left for the guests. We also liked the proximity of the grocery store and gas station, even though we only used once. Hosts gave excellent pre stay instructions which we followed specially the notes on shopping in Alpine before arrival, Lowes Grocery store has everything you'll need for your stay with plenty of variety. The house also has an AC system that delivers in the heat. Outdoor furniture is plentiful, with hammocks for evening star gazing, full BBQ setup for dinning outdoors, which I wish we'd utilized. A couple of negatives (1) the additional camper living space, adequate but detached from the house, loud AC unit. (2) car port got not accommodate our 15-passenger sprinter van, too low, so van baked in the sun. All in all, we had an excellent time at the property, would recommend to any large group wanting to visit Big Bend.

Stayed Dec 4, 2025A lovely stay! The home was well appointed with dishes, cookware, etc and had a really neat eclectic vibe with arrowheads, rocks, interesting artwork throughout. Very comfortable seating inside and especially outside with absolutely amazing views from all directions. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Stayed Sep 27, 2025Excellent location for our adventures in Big Bend and the ghost town area is a must! The house was the most stocked VRBO that I have ever stayed at, towels in abundance and plenty of kitchen accessories to cook anything! Communication with host was excellent as well as directions and anything we needed. 5 star host!

Stayed Mar 15, 2025We needed a 3 bed 2 bath home for our group of 4 adults and one child over spring break. Rancho Mula Oso fit the bill. Beds are comfortable and the house is well equipped with plenty of bath linens and dishes in a full kitchen. The outside area out back is perfect for enjoying the gorgeous night skies. We really enjoy staying in this area.

Stayed Jan 6, 2025We loved everything about the property. Close to everywhere we were going. My kids said this was their favorite VRBO/ Air BNB we’ve ever stayed at. Super clean, great view, had ANYTHING you could’ve needed from home, with a grocery store a few minutes down the road. Excellent place to stay.

Stayed Oct 6, 2024We had a fantastic time. There are tons of outdoor seating so you can look at the stars and enjoy the vastness of the sky. The house was super clean. We had 5 adults and 4 kids, so we needed the overflow camper on the side. It was nice that it was attached by a deck. None of us have ever been to that area before. When we arrived, it was dark, and we had a hard time trying to find the entrance. When they say it’s dark, it’s DARK! Highly recommend arriving for the first time in the daylight lol. Loved the area and definitely want to go back!
