Stayed Oct 23, 2025Great stay! Each year some college friends and I (we're all 50 now) plan a guys trip for a long weekend and this year we went to Big Bend and Mucho Gusto. The property was great...private, good size, very clean, very quiet and well maintained. It had patios and sitting areas on all sides of the house to move around and watch the sunrise, sunset or stay out of the sun. There were even some old ruins off the entrance that made for some great pictures. As noted, it was very close to the park and an easy shot in. I was worried there would be some highway noise, but we did not notice it. Night sky stars were amazing. Hosts very helpful and informative. Check-in instructions and information on the area were extremely helpful and informative. There were lots of travel tips, like the best grocery stores are 80 miles from the house and best to stop on the way in.It was a much needed break and will definitely stay at Mucho Gusto again if/when I get back to Big Bend.

Stayed Apr 21, 2025This was my mom's Bucket List trip to Big Bend, so we wanted to let her pick someplace special, and this was it. Honestly, the trip wouldn't have been the same if we'd stayed elsewhere. First, the location was SO close to the park on one side, and town on the other...but had plenty of space/privacy around it, with views of the mountains, sunset, and the fascinating ruin of the old Terlingua schoolhouse (photos of the sunset coming through it were beautiful). The house itself is beautiful—my mom went for the local, warm-colored decorating scheme. It has plenty of character while being spotlessly clean and well appointed. Personally, I loved the many different indoor and outdoor places to sit and entertain—we tried to use them all and still didn't! A lovely place for a big family, or a few sets of friends/couples to spend time together. It is very accurately described, with clear instructions. Do note that the three spaces (and bedrooms) have separate entries; this worked well for our family, which has bigger (11-13) kids who we put in the main house, my mom in the attached house, and my husband and me in the Casita. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly, highly recommend!!!!

Stayed Nov 20, 2024We booked this property to celebrate my Dads 65th birthday. He had never been to Big Bend and this really was the perfect place for our home camp! We had 5 people total and it was perfect, had everything we needed, and was spacious while also providing privacy. We already talked about staying here again next time we visit and I highly recommend staying here!

Stayed Mar 4, 2025We loved our stay at Mucho Gusto. The location of the property couldn't have been any better - just a few miles from both Big Bend NP and Terlingua. The house and casita had everything we needed or wanted for out trip. We only used the main house since tow of our party dropped out at the last minute but the casita would have been perfect if we had actually needed it. The property listing is spot on and checkin/checkout/communication with the owners/managers was very easy. We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces as well. We ate breakfasts & lunches on the patio, grilled some steaks and sat around the fire pit looking at the starts. We definitely know where we'll be staying the next time we're in the Big Bend/Terlingua area.

Stayed Oct 27, 2024The house was great!! Very clean and great decor. It is uniquely built where three couples can stay and have all the privacy they want with three separate entrances to their bedrooms. Outside is beautifully decorated and feels like your at home.

Stayed Feb 19, 2024Mucho Gusta is a truly special experience. We were 3 couples six adults and we loved the main house and the casita. This place is a gem. We were visiting Big Bend and and it was so convenient to the western side of the park and to the town of Terlingua. The house was well equipped and it's right off the main road. This is one case where it's better than the pictures. The property managers were great, very responsive to any questions. We just loved it and wished we could have stayed longer.

Stayed Mar 11, 2024My family and I needed a place to stay for our first visit to Big Bend. We have three children (ages 15, 8, and 4) and Mucho Gusto and the Casita was the perfect place! It was near the park, had everything we needed, and plenty of space for the kids to play. The owners were quick to respond with any questions we had, and we absolutely LOVED staying here. Highly recommend!

Stayed Jan 2, 2024We enjoyed our stay at Mucho Gusto and Casita as a family of 6 and a 1 year old. This place is very clean and has a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed star gazing and hanging out in the patio. Also the location is so close to Big Bend NP / Maverick Junction which made visiting the park really easy.
