RANCH RETREAT! PEACEFUL GET AWAY! Views, Romantic, Wineries, & Hiking

Our Host was exceptional. The property was detailed very well, with all amenities. Very secluded but yet easy to drive to. Nature was all around and the views were incredible, truthfully a very peaceful get away.

We've had three wonderful stays at this incredibly peaceful, comfortable place. So restful to watch the sun set over the hills, watch the birds, foxes, and armadillos, and hike around exploring the property. Owners are very helpful and responsive. Kitchen is well equipped, and there are nice details like binoculars for guests. We'll be back!

Val and Keith are exceptional hosts, and they have a wonderful piece of property. It’s at the dead end of an already remote road. Their cabin is truly a retreat. A fireplace insert isn’t just for aesthetics; it has a heater in it, and the central air/heat work very well. Once one discovers what is there, it is difficult to leave. We discovered at least 30 species of birds that call this property home. Also, expect to see fox, turkeys, rabbits,wild hogs, deer, squirrels, raccoons, and maybe animals we didn’t see.There are sitting areas positioned all over the yard for views of the hill country, sunrises, sunsets, and wildlife. Yards games and a patio kitchen also provide plenty of outdoor entertainment. There are also binoculars to view those long distance vistas. The stars at night are big and bright at this “deep in the heart of Texas” home! We look forward to returning to this VRBO. Val and Keith, keep up the great work!!!

We love staying at this beautiful cabin. The home is clean and well appointed, the views and wildlife viewing are outstanding. Valarie is excellent in communication and goes above and beyond as a host. We'll be back!

Amazing view looking out the property windows

We loved our stay. The best parts were the view, the wildlife we saw, and the fact that we were had total privacy, no noisy neighbors. The fox visited at night, we saw deer a couple of times near the property and not to mention lots of cardinals around the bird feeders. Valerie and Keith were very helpful and responsive.

Nice, secluded cabin that does not disappoint. Clean, lots of wildlife and cozy. The Hunters are very nice and welcoming people who will also help with recommendations on just about everything. We hope to stay again. Thanks

This was my second time booking this rental and I fell in love with it all over again. This is such a beautiful cabin, we will definitely be returning! If your looking for a quiet, private & scenic spot, this is the one!

My wife and I enjoyed watching deer and other wildlife from the front porch.

We had a wonderful time! The house is situated on a hill with a spectacular view, and has been designed to take advantage of it. Huge windows with rocking chairs facing out makes it easy to enjoy the view regardless of the weather. The wildlife was an unexpected pleasure. The hummingbirds put on quite a show, and we saw many other birds, a deer with her fawn, armadillos and a fox. The hosts were very helpful and the house was well stocked with everything one might need. I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to enjoy nature and yet still be close to all the Hill Country has to offer.

Had a wonderful time at the well appointed cabin. Visited all the antique spots in Comfort, Fredericksburg, and Kerrville. So peaceful, quite, and relaxing. Will be back!

You cannot beat the absolute PEACE of this place! Perfect for the 2 of us celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary. We just enjoyed the quiet and watching the deer, foxes, hummingbirds and more! Loved it!
