Stayed Mar 1, 2026This vacation rental was beautiful. The interior was recently remodeled and very comfortable, with the exception of the couch, which was huge and uncomfortable and almost the only place to sit in the great room. With the new hurricane windows and doors it was very quiet indoors. Updated Smart features are everywhere and were quite a bit smarter than us! An instruction booklet would have been appreciated.The screened in Lanai was large and wonderful. This property is located on a small canal and we were fortunate that most of the neighbors were not home so it was pretty quiet for most of the time. It might get noisy if more neighbors were home. The Overseas highway is pretty close, so road noise is somewhat constant (probably true of many places in the Keys) but we became used to it.There was no tennis court that we could find (not a problem for us) and not sure about what makes the views remarkable.Within walking distance is a nice boardwalk park/picnic area called Anne's Beach (right on the Overseas highway) with great ocean views. The Channel #2 bridge is also within walking distance and is a favorite fishing spot.Sandy swimming beaches are hard to find in the Keys but we discovered one on Marathon Key (Sombrero Beach) and a large one on Bahia Honda. Both areas are a bit of a drive away.This was a great Keys location and a very nice rental!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The home was recently totally renovated. Each room was clean and uncluttered. The huge kitchen enabled us to enjoy most meals right at home and the outside deck was perfect for al fresco dining. Living right in the canal gave us picturesque views each day. I would highly recommend Tollgate Tides to folks seeking all the comforts of home in paradise.
