Escape to northern Wisconsin where summer nights are cool, crowds and traffic do not exist, and life is simpler. Once the great north woods, today this is a rural paradise filled with small treasures that are reminiscent of times past.
Situated 10 miles west of Bayfield at the end of the road lies Raspberry Bay Lake Front House with 265' of lake front and an unobstructed view to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Raspberry bay is shallow with ever changing sand bars which is frequently empty except for the wildlife. Ideal for kids as the water is shallow and warm for Lake Superior. Sit on the shore in an adirondack chair and read a book or just enjoy the tranquility. Looking out to the lake you can see the Raspberry Island lighthouse along with Bear Island, Oak Island, Rocky Island and Otter Island. Take one of our canoes out for a peaceful paddle along the shore or up raspberry slough for some wildlife viewing. Sea kayak right from the house and enjoy good proximity to the 21 islands that make up the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Apostle Islands National Lakeshore has been named the top National Park destination for its untouched natural beauty and large collection of lighthouses. It is possible to launch your boat 4 miles east at Little Sand Bay and anchor it out in front of the house and wade ashore. Bike, run, walk or drive over to Eagle point 3 miles away. Watch and hear the waves crash or lap (depending on the weather) onto the shore from your bedroom. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets and look for the northern lights while you take in the night sky. Celebrate with smores on a crackling campfire and enjoy the outdoors. Expect a very relaxing and memorable vacation experience year round.

5 bedrooms, 3.5+ bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Large screened in porch overlooking the woods and the lake. Upstairs screened in porch is terrific place to sleep outdoors almost like a tent with all the comforts of home. Built in 2010 the home boasts upgraded details including slate floors, tile showers, wide plank wood floors, tongue and groove ceiling, granite counter tops, maple cabinets, stainless appliances, in-floor heat, Fireplace, Woodstove, Outside Firepit, Clawfoot tub in the master, Outside Shower, and Covered Porch to enjoy rainy days.

Black bears are occasionally seen on the beach and wolves are resident to the area. Bald Eagles are common along with loons, mergansers, kingfishers, frogs and white tailed deer. Various waterfowl, woodpeckers and chipmunks add to a woodland setting that soothes the soul. This property is bordered on one side by land carrying a permanent conservation easement which is bordered by a large tract of native american land which also is protected by a permanent conservation easement. From our beach you can gaze down along the headland at natural forest.

Absolutely wonderful!!! The lake house is on the water, with beautiful porches, fire pit and shallow water for swimming. We cannot wait to go back!!

We had 5 people over 70, some with mobility issues, and the house worked perfectly for us. Lots of spaces to have private time, beautiful view, quiet, easy to access Bayfield, good cell phone and WiFi service—pretty consistent. Takes awhile for the heat to come on as it is in the floors and then very comfortable. Firewood is not available and a bit tricky to find kindling to start the fires. Lovely dark sky for star gazing. Would like to have grab bars added to the showers. Our nicest VRBO to date.

Gorgeous house on amazing property! We loved being able to go right out to the lake. Great location as it was about 20 minutes from all our planned activities. Loved the screen porch. Plenty of space for all of us! Would love to go back some day.

This was our 2nd stay at the Lake House with 3 generations of my family. We just love the beauty and charm of the house, the surrounding nature, and especially the private beach area accessible from the property. We enjoyed several canoe trips down the river. We saw deer, an eagle, and a beaver. We would highly recommend this home to anyone who wants a quiet stay on the lake, within a short drive to Bayfield and other local towns.

Absolutely stunning experience at this Lake Superior house! The views are breathtaking, the property is well-maintained, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. Jim was fantastic with communication and provided information on a variety of nearby activities. Perfect for a getaway or family retreat. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy nature at its finest! 5 stars!

Sisters and I brought our families and dad to check out Bayfield Apple Festival and a few orchards. We spent a lot more time at house playing cards and exploring the lake area. Plenty of room for everyone. We had an excellent time and plan to come back!

What a nice home to experience and see Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands. Everything is about 20 minutes away - Bayfield or Cornucopia for kayaking the sea caves. The Raspberry river is heavily sandy out to about 100 yards so the fishing was not productive, but swimming and splashing around is fun. We loved the 2 porches - downstairs for eating meals and relaxing, upstairs sleeping porch with a nice breeze. Nice firepit area and didn't have an opportunity to use the outside shower. Excellent layout of the home and comfy beds, lots of nice chairs and ottomans to relax on, and a great kitchen for cooking!

this is a very large space, with ample outdoor areas as well. We all cooked a meal, 3 in total, and found the kitchen well stocked with everything we would need except disposable items. We made firepits each night with wood we bought at grocery store in town. Bring wood if you plan to make firepit otherwise. easy walk to shoreline which is attached to a sand peninsula- may want water shoes as shoreline is a bit rocky. beds and bedding comfortable. We didn't try to operate TV. Only negative, which rarely would matter, is that there is no AC. Happened to be quite hot when we were there- again I know this is rare.

Easy check-in with code. There is a binder with house details and area attractions info and brochures. I received a quick response over text for a simple question. This house is even more beautiful and special than the online pictures are able to capture! Very spacious and private, off of gravel roads in a rural setting. We saw bears twice, about 1-2 miles from the house. The home has beautiful woodwork, stonework, and tilework, and furnishings. We loved the luxury cabin feel. We enjoyed using the firepit, walking to the private sandbar next to the home (very shallow and safe for children to swim), playing games, and making meals. We also spent time shopping in Bayfield and Washburn, and hiking the trail from nearby Meyer's beach. We didn't get the canoes out this time, but definitely will next time. This was a 3 generations family trip, and this home really helped make the trip extra special! We hope to make this trip a yearly tradition!

The house was perfect for my elderly parents, my family, and my sister’s family. The house had an easy walking entry and a master on the main floor— perfect for anyone that may have difficulty with stairs. There were gathering places where we could all sit together, all eat together, but each family took their own floor for time to get away. The home was beautiful, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the screened porch was the best!! We hope to stay here again!!

The house was more than we anticipated. Plenty of space for gathering, but also lots of smaller areas to get away for quiet moments.
