Quiet mountain home in Truckee

Just as described PERFECT!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the quiet mountain home in Truckee. It was a cozy, quiet spot, excellent for bringing along our dog. The completely fenced yard was a great place to play with him when we were not out hiking and sight-seeing. We would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kevin’s house! Plenty of space for two adults and one toddler. We’ll equipped kitchen and beautiful location. Would definitely rent here again.

Enjoyed our stay. House is quaint, and comfortable. Nice fenced yard for the dogs. Front and back porch comfortable for relaxing but could have been swept and cleaned a bit.

We booked this place based on the charming pictures, positive reviews, and claims that the cabin was immaculate. Unfortunately, that was not the case for us. When we first arrived, we were met with a pool of water on the kitchen floor that was coming from the refrigerator, which was stocked with smelly, out of date food items. Yuck! Took pictures and sent them to the owner who informed us that had happened once before, but never while he was there. Okay. The next day my husband was grabbing a mug from the kitchen cabinet and was showered with gloppy old, red wine. Gross! Some clown had put red wine in a mug and just left it in the cabinet. One nice pair of pants ruined and a disgusting mess to clean up! We informed the owner and the response was Guess I'll have to paint sooner than expected. Really? The kitchen itself is in dire need of updating. The linoleum was literally peeling back from the floor. The guest bedroom in the picture shows two regular-sized queen beds. In reality, one of the beds is only about a foot off the ground, just a mattress with no box-spring. Weird. Our entire family got really sick while staying there, most likely due to the fact that the place was not properly cleaned. One positive aspect is the location and large backyard for kids and pets. Other than that, I don't understand all of the positive reviews. This place needs a lot of work.

We had a great stay at this property! Nice cozy home in a lovely area. The backyard is super nice and our family and dogs loved romping around in the freshly fallen snow. The beds are super comfy. Great location in quiet neighborhood, close to Truckee and Northstar. Looking forward to staying here again!

This was the best week I have had in a long time. This wonderful town is in the best spot in the Sierras AND is dog friendly! The hosts are extra super nice and communicative. The house is beautiful and immaculate inside and has the most relaxing backyard space. We had a wonderful week here.

Very nice stay at this Truckee Mountain home. Clean property and great for small family. Fenced back yard which was convenient for small grand children who were with us. Our daughter lives on the same street so it was a particularly convenient location.

Enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Lounge was very comfortable as was the bed. Great location and Ruby (the dog) enjoyed the garden.
