Quiet Cozy Beachside Cottage Scott's Beachside Rental

Couple of issues that needed to be addressed at beginning of stay and host responded immediately. She and her husband were great. Very nice people!

Sweet little cottage, reminded me of going to my grandma’s house. Comfortable and cozy, great location near the ocean and good restaurants.

Nice home for us during a December stay in Palm Coast!

Pros: The location is within walking distance of the beach (.4 mi) and the entrance to the state park (.5 mi). The kitchen is well stocked, and the appliances are in working order. The TV setup is good with some DVDs supplied. There is also a large selection of games along with bikes, beach carts and beach toys. Cons: The house is filthy with a thick coating of dust everywhere. The sliding glass door is hard to move because the rails are full of dirt. There is mildew in the showers and the house has an awful musty smell. Something is living in the ceiling crawlspace that can be heard moving around in the early morning hours. There is a lot of rotting wood and holes in the siding. The photos online showed a nice home with hard flooring in every room. In reality, there are dirty peel and stick carpet squares in the living room, hallway and two bedrooms. The house is infested with ants. We ended up storing all food items in the refrigerator (after we cleaned it). Ant traps, bug spray and bug bombs were found stored all over the house. Anyone who owns a home in Florida honestly needs professional pest control. There are holes in the back fence. This presents a danger to children and pets since the house is near a busy highway. The plants are overgrown and provide a nice hiding place for snakes. The outdoor furniture, decking and porches had not been cleaned in months. In general, the home is dilapidated and misrepresented. We have photo evidence. PLEASE, DO NOT RENT!

Absolutely perfect. We stayed with our grandson and three of his friends. They loved it. The beach is very private. The house came equipped with boards for the beach. Everything was at the house that we needed and Publix nearby as well as plenty of places to eat. It's a perfect place to stay.

We had a great time and everything was provided by the host to ensure that we had a good experience. The cottage was clean and comfortable with plenty of towels, hot water, and everything else you needed. We did run out toilet paper and paper towels very quickly but made a store run and replaced. I love that they provide all the beach stuff you could need, it made things so nice and much easier. We just really liked the central location and easy beach access as well as the fenced yard for the puppers. It made for a relaxing and enjoyable experience for the whole family. Thank you for having us a second time. Would definitely recommend.

Susan is very responsive. The home met our needs. It is very close to St Augustine and other activities. Short drive from JAX airport.

The cozy beach cottage was just that. Our impression of the cottage was come in and stay a while. It was a very comfy vibe.
