The location of the house was great. Directions to the house could be given in a much simpler way. It's in a quiet and in a good location. Very nicely decorated in the living area and kitchen. However, the interior of the home was dirty! Microwave interior was dirty; microwave dish cover was dirty/food on it; cook top, oven and refrigerator were dirty; freezer had frozen water/ice on the floor of the freezer; appliance exteriors were streaked/dirty; bathroom toilet seat underneath side was dirty with evidence of POOP!!!! Toilet between seat and tank was dirty; toilet around floor area had not been cleaned in a long time; rugs dirty and some had hair on them which indicated they had not been vacuumed in quite a while; floors were dirty; sheets had hair on them (blonde and dark)--we changed the sheets ourselves. I had my own personal Clorox wipes which I wiped down EVERYTHING!! Don't know why it had so many reviews about the Cleanliness of the house. We certainly didn't find it as such.
Great place to unplug ?
Peaceful weekend out in the country. Beautiful area. Extra touches made us feel most welcome.
It was a quiet country setting!! The perfect place to relax and check out the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum, before heading on to Branson. Sitting on the front porch enjoying the outdoors, to grilling hotdogs in the evening around the campfire, to playing games around the kitchen table,we made some great family memories!! This house provided everything we needed. We totally enjoyed our stay!! The absolute best part though, was seeing a black bear passing by the house on our last morning there.
Quiet, rural, clean, comfortable. The owner even left us some home-baked cookies - thank you. We enjoyed trying to identify the numerous plants (chicory, mullein, wild garlism etc.). There was a rabblt that evidently lives in the woods close by as he paid us several visits, and we saw deer several times. The only drawback was the dirt/gravel roads, but we managed those without any issue.
Everything was prefect. Plan on going back when warmer so we can enjoy the porch more. They even left us fresh baked bread! So fantastic. Can't wait to go back.
I'm out to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday parties and this was right down the street very close to him. Everything you need and if you forget something they had those little things there for you as well. Very thoughtful. It's simple easy to keep clean
There is way too many great things to list about this property. I will just sum it up and say that we loved it.
Thought this house was great! All the little hospitality touches like local ground coffee, and gift cards to local coffee house and cookies at arrival were great! House was perfect size for us and very clean!
Overall stay was very nice. Only downfall was the laundry situation.
This property is the perfect retreat house! Off the beaten path but just 10 mins from all that you would need, such as shopping. Very clean and comfortable. The scenery is absolutely beautiful! The home is surrounded with amazing farm land and rolling wooded hills.
Had a great stay at this home. Was nice not to have a tv and just enjoy the area outside. Fire flies at night, saw a family of beavers a few times. Great place to take a long walk off you’d like. House was just right for my wife and 4 little kids. Surprise thunderstorms and rain made this place nice since it has a great covered porch to sit and have coffee and enjoy the surroundings Thanks for a great home -Matt
We stayed in this lovely rural home while visiting family in the area. We loved the open kitchen/living area, the two bedrooms that had room for the grandkids, and especially the front porch with comfy chairs where we headed each morning to enjoy the beautiful country views. Our grandkids loved the large backyard. We could not have found a better place for our time in Ava!
