Spacious home in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Our group of nine had plenty of room and enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a group of 7 women in town for a golf tournament. We wanted a place we could unwind, cook, sleep and repeat. This was perfect. The evening temps were nice for sitting on the back patio. The house was stocked sufficiently and we had no complaints. Wifi worked fine. We did not turn on any TVs so can’t say anything about that. I’d recommend this place so any large group looking for a nice house in quiet neighborly environment.
We reserved this home for a week for 4 employees that commuted to Rock Island for work. We wanted the group to have a place to return to and relax and engage. The location and home fit the bill perfectly! They requested the home again for the next assignment!
We really enjoyed our stay. It had plenty of space for 7 adults.
Quaint area. Large and open. Great for kids. Beds comfortable. Space out showers and keep short. Water gies cold if 2 showers running same time. We adapted. Did not ruin time!
The listing is very accurate for this quiet little cottage. We were impressed by the space with multiple places for family to unwind together or spread out, such as two patios, two living rooms, the game/arcade area, and my favorite the 4-seasons room. Our kids enjoyed the games in the basement very much. We also loved the board games placed in the different areas, battleship was a win for our 6 yr old. The farm fresh egg delivery was an added bonus that we definitely enjoyed. The area is so quiet and beautiful. We loved watching the birds in the morning. Our family soaked up the sun on the patio and I took a nice nap in the 4seasons room. The host was very responsive when we were unable to access the Hulu live, literally within minutes we had it up and going. (Can’t miss Masters coverage). Beds were comfy. Good water pressure in showers. All the things you need for a good stay. Overall great place for families and groups if you’re wanting a quiet, relaxing space.
The property owner was very responsive and answered all questions quickly and professionally. The home is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The main issues we had were that there were not many cleaning supplies--we couldn't find a vacuum or dish rags. We wanted to be sure we left the home clean, and there was a broom and dustpan, but the broom was very short and made sweeping a chore. There was a problem with water leaking up from the floor of the basement, which we noticed immediately, as the floors in the home were so nice we didn't want to wear shoes in the house, lest we track in snow. There were not a lot of rugs by the doors, so this was really an issue. When we walked in the basement, our socks got very wet, and this was unpleasant. We did decide to just wear shoes any time we went downstairs. The rooms were very nice, the sheets and comforters were wonderful. It was cold there, and we all slept well. The bathrooms, unfortunately, did not have a separate exhaust switch from the light, and so when the lights were on, so was the exhaust. This made getting out of the showers a cold experience, and it was noisy at night and we had small children with us, so this was an issue. If the weather is nice, there are some wonderful outdoor areas and porches we didn't use, because of the weather, but this would be a great assess in warmer weather.
We enjoyed our stay! 5 adults. It was a nice location, plenty of room to visit and hangout!
Property is an older house with some renovations. Included 4 bedrooms (two of which had full/twin bunks) and multiple bathrooms, which was great. Dishwasher and stove were older models which took a bit of effort to use, and also there were only two dishwasher detergent pods for our 3-night stay. Very nice amount of space for 5+ adults to sprawl out on the main floor living room and basement family room with comfortable couches and decent chairs. The main dining table only seated 6, which was enough for us, but would not work for larger groups. To be safe, we brought a supplemental folding table so we would be sure to have enough table space to have both games & food out at the same time. Kitchen had a remodeled bar/countertop, but oddly was missing a power outlet at countertop level. Refrigerator was large, clean, and worked well. There were two big-screen TVs which were newer models and easy to stream shows. The basement also included a couple of the Arcade1Up arcade games which got a lot of use from our family. Owner was very responsive and helpful during the reservation and check-in process. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future!
