We enjoyed our stay. It was close to the activities we were doing and is in beautiful Kentucky horse country. Lots of room.
I almost hate to write this because the hosts were so nice. The communication beforehand was helpful when I had problems with VRBO, and the one host onsite was present and friendly. But I value the reviews I read that give helpful information so I felt the need to share for those with breathing or allergy issues. The reason for my rating was the smell. There was a dehumidifier running when we arrived so I asked if there had been a flood in the unit. He said it was a mistake in the construction, that it drains poorly and so it gets wet. He said the smell was ozone from the unit, and that kills everything, but that it was right to turn it off once we got inside. I tried to open the windows to air it out but almost all of them had storm windows instead of screens. I did turn on the A/C to help filter the air. We also left the kitchen door open when we were there, and I opened the main bedroom windows (one of which had to be closed from the outside once rain was predicted overnight). By the end of our two-night stay, it wasn't so noticeable, and it probably wouldn't be bad in hot dry weather. Besides that, it was nice. The beds were comfortable; the bathrooms were clean. All the light switches were labeled. There's a little pond out back where we saw lots of little frogs and a great grey heron.
Very clean and charming like my grandma’s home.
This property was as shown. No surprises. Very comfortable and easy to travel to points of interest. Beautiful countryside!
Just as presented online... very clean, very quiet, and perfect for us as we dislike motels in favor of an assuregoood nights sleep
This space was perfect for the 4 of us. The kitchen and living room was extra roomy. Both bedrooms are nice sized. It was also wondering having 2 bathrooms! Many extra thoughtful itrms like coffee and condiments and laundry items were also available! This was absolutely perfect!
Nice location for going to Keeneland race track. Also within 10 to 15 minutes of many restaurants in Georgetown. Place was pretty much exactly as described, plenty of room, and clean
Very comfortable, clean, felt like we were at our Grandma's house. Beautifully sunsets, friendly manager.
Quick overnight trip on our way to The Ark. Well stocked and lots of room. Beautiful drive getting to the home, and in a quiet area. Appreciated the fan that was provided as it got warm in the 2nd bedroom. Would recommend a larger coffee pot.
We loved our stay here! It was out in the countryside, and away from any traffic and noise. Large and comfortable! The hosts were very friendly, and attentive to anything we needed. Thank you!
4 of us, all christians stayed at Jennies property as we wanted to visit the Ark and creation museum. we were very impressed with the comfort and homeiness of the property. a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with a nice kitchen and living room. a nice place to relax and unwind after a long day of site seeing. the family were all very pleasant, nice to talk to and very welcoming. the next time we come to Kentucky we will definitly be staying here again.. so much nicer than a hotel, and the price was much more affordable than a hotel. God bless this family for opening their home to us.
It was super quiet in the country. Spacious space for plenty.
Wonderful, quiet, and away from the noise that surrounds a city.
Walking into the house was like stepping into my grandmothers house 30 years ago. Clean, neat, with decor from the 1980's. Pros: It was not far from the Kentucky Horse Park. Plenty of good places to eat in between. Quiet neighbors. Clear instructions by the door for a local bakery, emergency contacts, etc. We used the coffee pot to make coffee and hot tea. Other amenities (stove, dishwasher, etc) were available but not used. Cons: could have used some firmer pillows.
Everything was amazing. I really enjoyed my visit.
