Stayed Jul 12, 2025This is our third stay at this home and we’ve already booked for 2026. It’s situated in a quiet spot on the lake. To can’t see any of the neighboring properties from this one. It’s close to Suttons Bay, Lake Leelanau, and Leland. It’s 30 minutes to Traverse City. If you’re in biking, this area is amazing. The roads along the lakes, the TART Trail and the farmland roads are all lightly used. There is also some nice hiking close by. Check the Leelanau Conservancy website. Also not shortage of breakfast, lunch and dinner options in all of the aforementioned towns.

Stayed Jun 22, 2025We enjoyed all the different areas we could sit and relax and enjoy the lake view from this house. The deck, the porch, the living room, the seats down by the fire pit were all great places to take in the view. The kitchen was adequately stocked with appliances, tableware, cleaning supplies etc The bedrooms were very quiet and beds very comfortable. The whole house is very private and secluded. There is a dock but no boats so we rented kayaks. The house was close to lots of great places: Leland, Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Suttons Bay, Traverse City. There are lots of beaches and shops within 7-10 mins. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. Unfortunately, we think the hard water seemed to have badly stained the shower curtain in one bathroom which was unpleasant and the first wash of clothes were stained a little with the same pinkish-brown color- though later ones weren’t. We told Vacasa about the shower curtain etc and hopefully they will be able to improve that. While there is no one host to contact and there seemed to be several ways to make contact which made things a little confusing, someone did always respond in a timely manner. The entry code to the front door is long. Despite these small challey, we had a lovely time and would recommend this spacious, comfortable, beautiful home.

Stayed May 14, 2025We Loved this property! It was super quiet and we loved the fire pit & dock to soak up the sun!! It is dated…but wouldn’t stop us from coming back! The only negative was when we arrived the cleaning crew sprayed entirely way too much disinfectant spray!! We had to open the all windows to get the smell out! Other than that…it was a Great stay! Would definitely stay again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I’ve been coming for Northern Michigan for over 60 years and almost 40 with my wife and family. We spent summers on Walloon as kids and over the years have stayed on Lakes Charlevoix, Glen and Leelanau and in Traverse City. I think the Leelanau Peninsula is the best area given the lakes, dunes, forests, quiet country roads, and variety of restaurants in the small towns and in Traverse City. This home offers a great location on Lake Leelanau with access to all the area has to offer. If you’re a cyclist, this location offers immediate access to some of the best riding Michigan has to offer.

Stayed Jul 2, 2024The property is huge and has Great Lake frontage! The dock is very peaceful and we had fun making a bonfire. Bring your own wood! Also, the grill works fine - the other reviewer must not have known how to work it. The kitchen was also well stocked with supplies.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I recently had the pleasure of staying at this home, and it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the pristine cleanliness of the entire house. One of the standout features was the incredible privacy this property offered. An added plus was that we couldn't see the neighbors at all, thanks to the long private driveway and thick trees lining both sides of the property, enhancing the sense of seclusion and tranquility. Nestled in a serene area, it provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The updated bathroom were a delightful surprise—modern and stylish, adding a touch of luxury to our stay. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep every night. The furniture and floors were not only stylish but also of high quality, contributing to the overall welcoming and cozy atmosphere of the house. The outdoor amenities were equally impressive. The private beach area was a dream come true, with a sandy sandbar extending from the dock that was perfect for lounging and swimming. In summary, this Lake Leelanau rental provided an outstanding experience with its cleanliness, complete privacy, and welcoming charm. The updated bathroom, comfortable beds, and fantastic beach area made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Stayed May 23, 2024This is a secluded spot on one of Northern Michigan's premier lakes. The home is comfortably furnished and the views of the lake from the entire back of the house are mesmerizing. There are multiple areas to relax, including a spacious living room, a screened in back porch, a huge deck, and a lakefront fire pit surrounded by comfortable deck chairs, all feature the lake view as the star of the show. An expansive back yard makes a great place for kids to play. A dock allows access to the water. The kitchen is well supplied with cooking tools. My only complaint, unfortunately a big one, is that the barbecue is a barely functioning piece of junk. Overall this is a spectacular property in a very special location.
