Gorham, Maine
One hundred year old restored Maine farmhouse located in Gorham, Maine (15-20 minutes from Portland). Beautiful property with huge old Maple trees, some fields and woods. A cozy setting within 20 minutes of the Old Port, Portland, the ocean, Sebago Lake, and the mountains. Lovingly restored, with a warm Tuscan Farmhouse feel. Come and experience the REAL Maine and 'Life in the Slow Lane'. Put your feet up, sit back and relax on the front porch swing. Sleeps 6, perfect for a family of 2-6, great for 2 couples, cozy and romantic for one couple!
We are Centrally located to everything! Have dinner at one of Portland's many fabulous restaurants. Take a cruise to one of Portland Harbor's picturesque islands. Spend the day hanging out at the beach. Take a hike in the mountains or a sail on Sebago Lake. ALL within 15-30 minutes! Bonnie and Gregory (your hosts) will give you the inside scoop as to where the best secret hide-aways are.
We had a delightful visit to Maine and thoroughly enjoyed the cozy farmhouse. Loved the tin ceilings, claw foot tub, and the library bedroom. The home had everything we needed. It was fun to cook in the well stocked kitchen (we made a delicious quiche). We would recommend this home to anyone
We greatly enjoyed our three day stay at the Farmhouse! Such a quaint, relaxing place! Made our first trip to Maine feel like 'Maine'. The location was great, close to Portland, Freeport. Our host Alex (and family) were warm & welcoming as well as attentive to any issues. It was a pleasure to stay here and we would definitely recommend it and return.
Its nice to get away from modern life and step back in time. The hosts were very welcoming and the food in Portland was fresh and delicious. I would stay there again. Very clean Farm house.
I stayed for 3 days with my family of 6. We all had ample room, Bonnie and Katya were welcoming and communicative, and the home is an absolute charmer! We had a very rainy day on day 2, but there were loads of old books, and a few puzzles and games to entertain us. Then, on warm sunny days, we were close to nearby beaches. The full kitchen had everything we needed and 2 bathrooms with 6 people was a must. Thank so much for our relaxing time in Maine!
The farmhouse is cozy and welcoming. We loved our stay there and enjoyed learning more about the amazing family that runs it.
We had 5 wonderful days in this very beautiful farmhouse. It is a short drive to Portland and the surrounding beaches. In about 20 minutes you can also be at the beautiful Lake Sebago.
It was a nice, pretty and quiet stay.
Like stepping back in time! The claw foot tub, porch swing, piano, the library with books from the 1800’s ~ just charming! Immaculate, quaint, great location, excellent communication ~ we loved our stay!
Thanks, Alex, and the rest of your family for a great stay! We loved the old farmhouse and the grounds outside. And it was so nice of you to welcome us, show us around, and be there to say farewell! You made our vacation extra enjoyable!
We loved our stay at the farm. The house is so cute and charming - the library bedroom is incredible!! There was an issue with the upstairs toilet and the owner's children who manage the property responded right away. Would absolutely recommend staying here!
The rustic charm is amazing at this place. Bathrooms were clean and fuctional. Beds were very comfortable. The 2nd floor libray has a built in bed that's over the front porch. Would go back with my family if we get back the Maine in the future.
This property was quaint and lovely, the perfect place for us. Lots of space, a piano,a nice kitchen and cozy bedrooms. Lots of old books, too.
Sophia was fantastic! This is a great place to stay. Highly recommended!
Great stay at the farmhouse. The property is incredible. Clean and very cozy. Rooms are spacious. Full of books, feels like a movie. The kitchen was comfortable and clean. The quaint farmhouse feels perfect for a family. We had 6 people, three adults and three kids (12 to 15) and its was perfect for all 6 of us. Sophia, the host's daughter was very welcoming and helpful. The home was close to the beach (20 minutes) and to Portland (20 minutes). Close to Westbrook for supermarkets and shopping, if needed. Quiet and secluded, yet close to everything. Just perfect. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property to all.
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the farmhouse. The house was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. We tend to really enjoy staying at places with character and this old place had loads of it!
The house is as advertised. It is an old charming farmhouse. If you’re looking for a place that’s up to date with amenities and a pool…this place is not for you. If you’re looking for a place that is serene, quiet and you love to read…this is the place! Yes, there may be an issue with the hot water in the upstairs bathroom but that only happened when we first got there. By day 2 all was fine. I stayed in the “library” room. The room is lined with bookshelves and a lot of old books that I love. I read every night before bed. Sophia, the property manager was great. I recommend the place to anyone who loves old charming farmhouses. And it’s nice for family to be in a house with a living room and dining room where you can all be together and play Monopoly! Yes, there are games available.
Cute house! Loved our stay here!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The property owners are wonderful and very communicative. It's a quiet spot tucked away in a country-feel oasis. The beds were all comfortable and clean. The shower bathroom is as tiny as they come, so the larger bathroom with the tub is a nice second option. It IS an old farmhouse, so you can't expect everything to be brand new, spic and span clean. There are a few spiders, as to be expected. But it's very clean and well taken care of. We LOVED the quaint porch. Highly recommend and would stay again.
We had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and full of character. Nice cast iron pans and a kitchen with everything we needed. We would stay here again. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Very charming old home. Beds were comfortable...Everything we needed as a home base - close to food shopping - busy street but back from the road. Half hour to the beaches. Lovely yard.
Our family love it here ❤️
