This was the most stunning property we have ever stayed at! The view and private beach access is worth every penny they charge!!! We will be coming back year after year! As far as the spotty service that was a blessing in my eyes. No one was on their phone other than to take pictures. We were there to make memories not be attached to our phones. I cant stress enough how beautiful the view is at this property!

We loved the view sitting on the deck over looking Lake Michigan! The private beach area was a major plus too!

The location of this property and the views can't be beat. It definitely needs some TLC on the inside though. We also had two power outages during a four day stay, including the entire first night. It appeared many other houses in the area had generators so wonder if this is a common thing and if so should be noted in the listing.

This is a great location next to the lake and a cute little cottage. However some maintenance is needed on the sliding glass doors, they are hard to open and close. Love the access to the lake. Hot tub was great. A downside is with the fees you pay for cleaning I feel like the cleanliness fell short. We had mouse droppings upon arrival on the counter and stove, fruit flies flying around as well as significant amount of spiderwebs and spiders collecting said fruit flies. All in all location is great but some things to be spruced up.

This property is a treasure. The house is at a dead end, giving enormous privacy to us as guests. There are multiple amenities such as a great fire pit, a grill with two tanks of propane, a hot tub, patio seating, access to wifi and streaming services. Some things are dated but this contributes to the charm and the home owners are clearly making efforts to update the property. There is a brand new coach with doubles as extra seating, new bar stools and new dining room chairs which brighten up the space. Our biggest complaint is that the sliding doors are very difficult to open. Lubricant at the top and the base would be super helpful. And the kitchen towels need to be replaced. having a stack of kitchen towels would cut down significantly on the number of paper towels we had to use.

The location of the house is amazing. The view from the house and desk is perfect! Unbelievable sunsets! The house could have been a bit cleaner. The cookware, dishes, & silverware all had to be cleaned by hand and were fairly dirty. If you plan to cook a lot at this house I’d recommend brining some extra pots and pans as the house doesn’t have a huge selection and the ones they have are in rough shape. Not a huge deal, we made it work. The blinds in the living room are broken so be mindful of that if you have people sleeping in the living room. We were only left with one trash bag besides the one in the trash can. Wouldn’t recommend this house for elderly people or people with mobility issues because of the stairs getting down to the beach. It’s really rocky getting off the steps to the sand area. Besides these small inconveniences, my family enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Bluffs Cover during the last weekend in June. It is literally on a bluff over Lake Michigan so you have gorgeous sunsets, relaxing white noise with the waves, and a wraparound porch to take it all in. The property has a hot tub and fire pit area that also overlook the lake. The home is a bit older with older home quirks but the minor issues did not interfere with our enjoyment. The main caveat would be the side of the porch overlooking the lake. It is in need of repair/replacement with some weak boards that felt like they might give way. It could be an issue for anyone with mobility or balance issues. The rest of the porch was fine so it probably has something to do with it being on the lake side, or because that side gets the most use. The property is the last one on the road with a creek on one side, but there are houses across that creek as well as a neighbor on the hot tub side of the property. There are lots of trees that make you feel secluded, though. And the creek and woods means you will see lots of wildlife. We saw a groundhog(?) a few times on the creek bank, a family of deer at dusk, squirrels hanging out on the porch, and the Michigan black squirrels that we don't have in Indiana. With a little love, this property could be a 5 star but we still would recommend it and would stay again.

Views are amazing and the beach is awesome however the cabin is in need of updating. The deck is not very safe and has lots of loose boards. If they updated this place to make it safer it would be perfect.

This was our 2nd stay here. We love the location - easy drives to South Haven and Saugatuck. We love being right on the lake with the gorgeous views! There were some disappointing things this time. The grass had not been cut. It was easily 12-18 inches tall. That did not make a good impression at all when arriving. The tall grass was not conducive to being in the yard. When you know you have renters coming, we don’t understand why it wasn’t more presentable. There were many loose boards on the deck. This could be a safety concern. The deck furniture had not been cleaned. It looked too dirty to sit on. The last time we stayed here, there were screens in the sliding doors. The screens were not there this time. We love to hear the crashing waves and be able to keep bugs out. The couches and blue chair have definitely seen better days. They are visibly worn and dirty. It’s time for some new furniture. When we think about dogs being on the furniture, too, it really needs cleaned or replaced. The hot water handle in the kitchen sink does not turn completely off. It drips continuously. The entry door lock has a lot of “play” in it. This caused a problem each time we tried to set the lock. The split rail fence also needs some repairs. We love the quiet setting and the gorgeous views. We had a cute possum visit on the deck, saw deer on the property and love the black squirrels. We would love to return. We love the accessibility of the home. This is one of our favorite rentals.

If you’re looking for a sandy private beach to sit by the water this isn’t the place. However the porch is great, if in need of some repairs, and the views are fantastic. The living space is very large and the kitchen is nice enough. The house itself is very private, sitting on the end of the road and it’s very quiet. Wouldn’t recommend if you have kids, it wouldn’t be safe but for a girls trip it worked well.
