Large family friendly compound, heated pool, and Indoor Basketball court

I cannot say enough about our Winter Weekend in this house. Chase is incredibly attentive to his property. We stayed here last year and we thought it was great then, but he is increasingly making improvements that made our stay even better. Mother Nature wasn’t so kind this year. The prior week brought snow and ice but Chase met us upon arrival and he was scraping and salting the ice to make our entry safe. Unfortunately we also had a short heat wave making the pond unusable for ice fishing, but we were still able to sled and have outdoor activities. The house itself is well stocked with cooking tools. Loved the huge griddle in the kitchen. Big hit. We are checking out Chase’s other properties as he is so accommodating and attentive. Thank you Chase for giving us the opportunity to make such fun family memories.

Great property. Great house. Great location.

The house was lovely. It easily accommodated 11 adults. Pool was a great amenity for a hot week in August. Lots of fun things to do in the Saugatuck/South Haven area.

A great time was had by all! The biggest hit was the pool. It was HUGE and everyone enjoyed it, especially the kids. We also loved prepping and sharing our meals in the large kitchen and dining room.

Right away, we could tell the property was thoughtfully prepared... clean, spacious, and ready for our stay. The place definitely has it's quirks, but that added to the charm and uniqueness of the home. We were a little nervous at first about how our large group would fit and feel comfortable, but this property delivered and then some! There were many interesting spaces throughout the house and property that everyone had room to relax. Whether someone wanted a quiet moment with a book or a lively game in the indoor basketball court, there was something for everyone.The kitchen and dining areas were perfect for preparing and enjoying our big family dinners each night. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we especially appreciated the on-site laundry to keep towels clean during our week long stay.The outdoor space was absolutely spectacular. We spent our days swimming in the heated pool, relaxing on the wraparound porch, and soaking in the beautiful views of the pond. The air-conditioned gym and basketball court were huge bonuses... perfect for staying active and keeping the kids entertained.This place truly had it all... comfort, space, and charm. It was the perfect setting for reconnecting as a family. We can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic! Our family (2 GP, 6 adults, 6 GC under 7). It is a renovated farmhouse so while everything may not be laid out exactly as one might have designed from the ground up we found the accommodations suited us well. The bedroom layout upstairs is a little different but it worked fine for us. There is only one bathroom upstairs so one family took their showers in the basement BR. The apartment has a spiral staircase access but we managed fine. The heated pool was fantastic. The living room also has a table which we used for puzzles at night. The dining area is huge. Chase was fantastic and very responsive. Chase is the GOAT!It was near record heat the week we were there so the pool got the most use of the amenities. The driveway is huge and grandkids loved scootering. They also hit golf balls in the yard/field. We also played tee-ball a couple of mornings. We also used the indoor, air-conditioned gym shooting hoops. We fished in the pond right out the basement door (each GC caught several).The one night it did cool down we used the fire pit and roasted marshmallows for smores. “The Little Store” is 1 minute up the road and has everything from ice cream to adult beverages.Some Visits: Oval Beach, The Kids Corner park and the pier in South Haven, Pirates Landing mini golf course in Holland followed by lunch at Beechwood Grill, Shultz Park playground (they also have pickleball courts) and had breakfast at Crane’s Pie and Pantry (where they also have u-pick options).

Great compound for large families

First let me start with the negatives……wait, there were NONE! If I could give 8 stars I would. Everything about our rental was fantastic, from the property itself and the owner. We’ve been renting houses for our winter getaway for the past 20 years and I can truly say this was our best. The house itself is amazing. So spread out and with our group of 37 that’s huge. The separate apartment housed our older girls. Big hit with them. I read reviews saying the kitchen was well stocked - understatement. It had everything. We wanted for nothing. Then there’s Chase, the owner. He couldn’t have been more accommodating. He responded to all my messages immediately. Wait. There was one negative aspect- we didn’t stay long enough. Next year we’re adding another day to our stay. Thank you Chase for helping us make such wonderful memories.

We had the absolute best day! This spot was beautiful, so spacious and inviting! So many memories made that will last a life time 3

We had a beautiful small wedding. It was the perfect place to host and had beautiful scenery perfect for wedding ceremony.

Our group really enjoyed the house and property. Very close to several wineries and town!

The house was tons of fun! Lots of space and beds. Chase was extremely responsive and made a special trip out to the house to bring us additional chairs for us all to enjoy a fire together.

Rented this for an outing of 14. The location is great! There is a winery 5 minutes away and Douglas and Saugatuck are about 15 minutes away. Even though it was too cold for the pool, the property made a great home base. The indoor basketball was a huge hit as well!

This place has an abundance of sleeping (mostly king beds), bathroom, seating, dining, and sunning spaces. Great layout and the pool was very refreshing. The privacy, especially in the pool area was awesome. Lots to do with the pool, game room, basketball court, fire pit, gazebo shade area and screened in porch. We had a fantastic stay!

The house exceeded our expectations! Fully equipped with everything you need for the kitchen, baths and bedrooms. We all enjoyed the pool, the pond for fishing and all the grounds. The second floor with 4 bedrooms and only 1 bath not ideal but we made it work. Chase was awesome to work with and responded immediately to some small issues that we had.

This property worked well for our family reunion of 18 people. We had 7 couples and 4 small children. I would not have wanted more people staying.

We had a great time in Fennville, Saugatuk, Douglas and Holland. Visiting each one of those places. We ate at many different places in saugatuk. The house was large enough for our 16 adults and children. We didn’t like the bedroom layout upstairs where you had to pass thru bedrooms to get to the bathroom and there is only one bathroom for all the beds upstairs. The pool was not heated and it was definitely cold in July. The apartment my daughter and her family stayed in had spiral staircase going up to the apartment which was difficult to maneuver with 2 little ones along with spiral staircase up to bedroom where they should of slept but my daughter didn’t like kids going up and down staircase. Too dangerous. They wanted their own space with children so they chose the apartment. The parking was plentiful for all our cars. We had 7 cars there usually. Outdoor pool bathroom with shower was not available as it was being remodeled. I was not aware of this until I got there and we were going to use it as a place to shower for some of adults. Also basement with washers and dryers had two sets of bunk beds which I don’t consider this a bedroom. The living room had a full size sofa and love seat for seating. Need more places for people to sit and watch TV. The owner was very quick in responding to any of my questions or needs. We would like to vacation in Saugatuk next year. The weather was absolutely gorgeous with no humidity like Ohio.
