Stayed Aug 30, 2024Honestly, I don’t want to post this review because I want to keep this gem to ourselves. We had a wonderful 6-night stay and had everything we needed. The property was clean, well-maintained, situated on a small-ish but clear lake, and amenities and room was plentiful for a family of 4 with two dogs. Another couple with 4 kids could have easily stayed with us without getting too cramped. The outdoor amenities were wonderful, with a fire ring, Adirondack chairs, extra folding chairs, a breakfast nook on the porch, several places to sit and eat in the sunroom and kitchen, and an upstairs loft with four twin beds. There are three bedrooms, two of them with an en suite, another bathroom with a shower, and a full living area downstairs. We never felt like we were on top of each other, and the freshly remodeled kitchen had top-notch appliances. There is a boat dock, which we made use of with a pontoon we rented nearby. We also kayaked the small lobe of the lake nearby. The water is calm and clean. We went fishing and caught a few bluegill (though honestly we didn’t try very hard for much else). The lake is quieter than some of the others nearby but can get cramped when jet skis and speedboats cruise by because it’s not really a lake that is large enough for these types of boats to go full speed for very long without cascading waves to fishing boats nearby. The only downside was the spotty and unreliable WiFi, but we were always able to watch a movie from the streaming service on the TV in the main living room every evening, with only a couple interruptions. We’re going to try booking again next year, though the Vacasa fees are starting to get a little high, which is the other downside. Other than that, this property is the best we’ve seen in the area, and we’ve been coming up and renting every year for the last four years since our family sold our property in nearby west clear lake. This place definitely felt more like home than the others, and we’ll try to be back. Lastly, a shout out and thank you to Vacasa staff (Dakota) for promptly coming by to fix a water heater issue (it was turned down too low when we arrived) and maintaining a sparkling, spotless property and answering all of our questions.

Stayed Dec 31, 19692nd year coming here and this property is beautiful. They continue to improve the overall property. This year they have redone the path to the lake and it's beautiful. We'll be back again.

Stayed May 25, 2024Beautiful north woods cabin both inside and out. Furnishings are nice and there is enough adequate space in all of the rooms for 6 people to never feel crowded. The front closed-in porch has spectacular views of the lake and is a perfect spot to relax. We all agreed we would love to visit again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This home was beautiful! The veiws out of every window were amazing! This home had everything you would need or want for a fun and cozy time. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. We used the fireplace every day so easy to use and made our days nice and cozy. Went to several restaurants in the area The Black Bear Bar food is great and very fun. We also went to Rustic pines food also delicious. Its not too far from amenities but out far enough for privacy. Absolutely loved our stay ! We want to book it again in the summer to enjoy the lovely lake . Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this lovely home.

Stayed Dec 24, 2023We were first to arrive in our group and I could not unlock the combination box to be able to open the front door. Fortunately one of the sliding doors was unlocked and we got in that way. The house was beautiful! Very nicely appointed and clearly the owners were very thoughtful about the needs of vacationers the provided us with many places to hang things (coats, hats etc.) and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and pots and pans. There is plenty of room for our three vehicles to park and for our dogs to run and play outside. We were somewhat familiar with the area because we had stayed on Booth Lake before but it wasn't as nice as this location. It was quiet and very relaxing with lots of summer furniture in the closed in patio for us to use when it was sunny and plenty outdoor seating on the veranda. We stayed 8 days and loved every one of them. Thank you so much for making our vacation great.

Stayed Nov 6, 2023Need to advise folks ahead of time that the longish drive way is pretty narrow with steep drop-offs on both sides and is extremely difficult, when driving a F-250 truck and pulling a duck boat, to maneuver... from turning onto the driveway to getting turned around once at the top... especially at night. Another note, there are two combo locks at the front door... the combo provided DOES NOT go to the lock on the door... it goes to the lock mounted on the door frame. Vacasa folks knew nothing about the cabin. The TV in the master bedroom is NOT Wi-Fi capable as advertised. You need to bring EVERYTHING you might need, which is extremely difficult when traveling... The only consumables provided was soaps & toilet paper. So, stop by the wonderful Trig's everything store on your way in. They too have great pre-made meals, at a great price, otherwise you could spend too much money on stocking the fridge on condiments... and salt & pepper. Notes all around providing info... except the info we seemed to need... again, Vacasa was USELESS as far as being helpful to how something worked or where something was... it took two days before we finally heard from the Property Manager... he was a little helpful... but took far too long to respond to our texts. But, the house was beautiful. Some of the decor had to be moved as to allow use of the tables and such... rooms too were tiny. I'm NOT a whiner, just too much irritated me at this cabin. K~
