Great house with everything you need to have a comfortable stay.
The hosts go above and beyond to ensure you have anything you may need readily available. The home was clean and had a rustic charm.
This farmhouse is so charming and peaceful. There is nothing that we needed. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need and it’s there for you. Located less than 1 mile from our kayak take-out point of Kings Creek access. Very convenient. We loved it and will definitely book again.
Our stay was excellent. This was the cleanest and most comfortable Vrbo home we've stayed in and we loved it.
This home was the most comfortable of all of the Vrbo homes we have rented. It was exceptionally clean and everything we could have needed was provided. The house itself is interesting because it is a great mix of an older build with modern touches. There are spaces for gathering together as a family, and the room off of the kitchen serves both as a game room and is also very peaceful as it is kind of secluded from the rest of the house. We loved relaxing on the hammock on the front porch. Thank you for such a nice stay at this home.
Really enjoyed the Crumpler cabin on the New River. Great house, great location.
The property is very well kept and spacious it’s perfect if you are wanting to spend time with your loved ones or you just need a get away. The river is right across the street and the scenery is beautiful. Would definitely stay again. The owners are very nice and attentive to anything you need. All in all a great place!
We had a great week relaxing in the awesome and comfortable house…exploring on the Blue Ridge Parkway, West Jefferson, Lansing, various breweries and cideries, and the New River…and eating delicious meals in and out (most well equipped kitchen of any rental we’ve ever had!). It was the perfect week…weather was cool and crisp which made the fireplace a great place to gather and “chill”! The leaves were beautiful, especially in the sunlight. We encountered so many animals driving around…I cannot wait to bring my grandsons here! My favorite part (and it was hard to pick) had to be the rockers on the front porch! I highly recommend for anyone looking for a mountain getaway. You can actually pack light because they have thought of everything you might need! I am looking forward to visiting in the summer and doing some kayaking or tubing from the park that’s less than a mile away! Thank you for sharing your beautiful house!
My friends and I just left this farmhouse after a long weekend together. We found the home to be clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable for us. For the most part, it is very quiet and peaceful. There is a campground just down the road from the house. So, we found that traffic picked up a little bit on Thursday evening with campers coming in for the weekend. But, by dark, there was hardly any noise or cars at all. We cooked every night and found everything we needed to make our meals was available in this house. We had packed things like a hand mixer, but it turned out that there was one in the cabinet when we got there. The owners were very communicative. They even left us some dry kindling and s'mores makings after I had emailed to find out about firewood. We went to Mt Jefferson State Park and walked some trails. We shopped around in West Jefferson and we made a trip over to Mayberry (Mt. Airy). We enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing long weekend and I would definitely stay here again if I was going to explore the area further.
