The house was cute and well situated to Old Town Eureka. It was clean and comfy! We loved the decore and had a wonderful stay!
We enjoyed our stay. Loved the architecture of the house! It was very clean with a well stocked kitchen. Walkable neighborhood, close to shopping and restaurants. About 10 minute drive to Cal Poly which was perfect for us. Great location for day trips. Definitely would recommend!
Exactly as described. Perfect central location for all things Redwood. The whole yard smells like sweet roses. Super cute.
Very charming house! Clean house and very well stocked kitchen. So comfortable and cozy. Just like home
I was concerned that the property would not match the online description, but it did. I was also very impressed that the kitchen and bathroom were clean and well-stocked, as was the rest of the cute little cottage. I will definitely book a vacation rental with VRBO again!
Lovely house, great location, but the ants were a constant battle
This place was exactly what we had hoped it would be. It had nice hangout space in the living room, a kitchen, dining area, laundry, and two bedrooms. A perfect basecamp for us as we explored the area. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The English Rose Cottage was exactly what we'd hoped it would be. It was cozy, clean, decorated thoughtfully, comfortable, and welcoming. The antique and more chic than shabby chic decor is exactly how I would have decorated the charming home if I had done it myself. It had every single thing that we needed, (except for a very minor matter of the bathroom window not opening for ventilation), but come on, the rest was absolutely amazing, lovely and perfect. The neighborhood is charming, surrounded by older Victorian era and above homes that have all been lovingly cared for. There is an adorable neighborhood library box across the street. The neighborhood is extremely quiet. Those walking by or riding bikes smile and wave. The kitchen was stocked with all cooking pans and utensils needed and was very clean. The bed was oh my goodness comfy. The location is far enough away from the main street to be calm and less traveled, but close enough for a trip to the grocery store or restaurants. We loved the English Rose Cottage and hope to return sooner than later.
Very nice house, and everything was a short walk or 5 minute drive away
Rose Cottage is charming and just as described. The kitchen is nicely stocked and the fridge is huge! Something to know about the driveway though: I prefer off street parking. And this house does have it, but the driveway is very nicely sized for a model T. Because of 4x4 upright posts along one side of the driveway a modern car needs to carefully park so all 4 doors will open, but at the same time, not block the doors to the house itself.
Wonderful location, great parking, the home was in fact homey and the flowers and blueberries were an added bonus. Walked everywhere!
This is a nice home in an older and quiet neighborhood - I enjoyed my time here. I think that the home is actually nicer in person than what I was expecting from the photos, too. The home has a lot of older home charm to it. Couple of very minor issues that weren't a big deal to me - the driveway is very narrow so would probably be difficult for people with bigger cars. There's plenty of street parking though. Also, the upstairs room doesn't have a lot of privacy - the door doesn't have an upper half. Overall, a nice home!
