Our detached cottage in the Black Forest is located on the edge of the forest in the municipality Feldberg, Falkau district. The house was purchased by us in October 2014 and is located right next to the house 'Bruno', which we also rent (HomeAway 2042270). The house is functional, an increase of the equipment is scheduled for early summer.

Stayed Jul 26, 2024Beautiful area, nice cottage. I was disappointed about two aspects: 1. I received an email a couple of days before arriving giving me a different description of where to find the key box, as well as a different code. This was quite confusing! 2. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. I attempted unsuccessfully to contact the host, and only received an email far too late. As there is no store in the vicinity, I had to ask for toilet paper at the local restaurant. Rather embarrassing. I feel strongly that a local contact person should be available to sort out problems such as this one!

Stayed Mar 28, 2024Neighbourhood was great with proximity to forest paths, river and the famous Titisee and Schluchsee. The detached quiet cottage for 4 left a lot to be desired. Transparency on costs per night: apparently price on Vrbo is for 2 persons, with each additional person at 15.80USD per night on my booking. Cleanliness: Living room sofa was full of hair from a previous occupant. The bed in the childrens room had traces of confetti or sweets from a previous occupant. Communication: Nothing explained about how heater works despite 2 degree temperature at night. Recycling and garbage disposal is not explained. Light switch in the bathroom was simply an open electrical connection. Nothing was mentioned about the other light switch concealed in the bathroom cabinet The stay in the cottage would have been a whole lot better if certain aspects were clarified, basic cleanliness was ensured and expectations not raised about a so called carefully curated atmosphere.
