The house is nice, people living in the area are nice and overall safe to walk. It is located about 30-45 min from tourist attractions, either ride public bus or taxi to reach center or Marina where all the action/ beaches are. There isn’t an asphalt road to the house, the closes one from bus stop is 3 blocks away. you can find small restaurants and convenient stores near for very basic stuff like water or some food items. Across from gas station Pemex and also bus stop, you find a nice gentleman that sells fresh coconut water/meat every day, that was really a highlight for us. There are 3 route buses that can take out out of this neighborhood. Also few minutes away by bus you can find “ Pitillal “ where there are lots of little shops, restaurants that cater the local community. There is some elevation on dirt roads to reach the house, so it won’t be suitable for people w/ limited mobility or wheelchair. overall it was a different experience for us, while inside the house you feel the comfort of any American home, outside you still see the harsh reality of many Mexican communities that even very close to top tourist attractions still underdeveloped.
