Stayed Jul 20, 2024Staying in East Chop is idyllic if you like to be close to the action but with enough distance for serenity. This property fits that bill. That said… Pros: About a mile walk from Oaks Bluff, and a short walk to the lighthouse, and gorgeous sunsets on East Chop Drive. The neighbor across the road has chickens and sells fresh eggs. Amazing! The upstairs layout of the house is open and airy. Cons: The house was not clean when we arrived. I had to wash dishes and sweep the floor of sand, hair and dust when we arrived. Downstairs was dark with several spiders. Our adult daughter ended up sleeping in the living room. Bottom line: Loved the location, and really wanted to love the house. Commitment to making the place rental ready and considering a few upgrades would go a long way.

Stayed Aug 5, 2023My family of 4, all adults, enjoyed this spacious and comfortable home, a short drive to the Center of Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven. We bought beautiful sunflowers which added to the bright, yet wooded setting and used the wonderful outdoor shower daily.

Stayed Jul 24, 2023Property was a great location for my activities on the Vineyard. I very much enjoyed the peaceful nature of the place. The owner was appropriately communicative about all details prior to my stay. I loved the privacy of the property. I missed not having sheets and towels available as part of the rental but that’s my personal preference. I had a nice time and would recommend the property to others.
