PRIVATE RIVERFRONT 3 bed/2 bath house on the Oconaluftee River!

The property was perfect for our needs and conveniently located. The owner keeps an open line of communication, and checked on us (text message) to ensure our stay was going well. The place was in excellent condition and very well kept. We highly recommend!

We stayed at this beautiful house on the river during a getaway for New Years. We were able to fish, relax in the house and we were minutes away from the casino. Also, the kitchen was fully equipped. The owners were very polite and accommodating. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. We got lost driving to the house the first time. Do not follow the GPS, follow the instructions from the owner.

House was clean and comfortable and within easy access to local amenities and travel spots.

The house was great, exactly as advertised.The location is great, you can see the river from the front porch.We were on a quick fishing trip to Cherokee, so we didn't swim or anything but you could easily do so as there's a floating dock with a ladder so you can easily get in and out.We did fish the river right there at the property at night.The house was extremely clean, the kitchen was well appointed. It had everything we needed to cook breakfast and also to grill out burgers and the fish we caught on the charcoal grill out front.Directions were spot on, and communication with the host was excellent. I had a few questions about coffee (they have a Keurig machine) and also ice since we were fishing (no ice maker but plenty of ice cube trays). The host responded quickly with answers to all my questions.If you're planning to visit this area and need a 3 bedroom house this place is great, highly recommend it!

This property was very conveniently located between Cherokee and Bryson City. It was super cute, very clean, and the rooms were large. Communication was great and check in/out was easy and smooth. We would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing stay with everything we needed provided. Nicely updated, decorated and spacious for our family trip. We enjoyed having a dock with ladder for kayaking, fishing & swimming. It’s a beautiful view of the river from the porch with plenty of chairs. Comfy beds, living room furniture and large dinning table. The home is secluded in the woods with lots of wildlife. We enjoyed seeing elk, ducks & the fish jumping. Thank you to our wonderful host.

My sister ,brother and I went to spend time together after 2 years of our father's passing....he would have loved this place. Very clean & CozyWe loved the porch over looking the river.

Nice and clean and comfy! We had everything we needed. We stayed for the WCU graduation and the location was perfect because we were close enough to WCU while being able to avoid the crowds in Sylva. I had my parents with me and dad doesn’t do stairs anymore, so this worked out great because there is a ramp from the gravel driveway to the kitchen door and everything is on one level, including the porch overlooking the river. Bring k-cups so you can have your coffee out there!Bonus for nature lovers: there are some fabulous flowering shrubs and trees around the property, great bird watching, and we were greeted along the road by a family of elk!

Such a peaceful stay in the mountains!! If you ever need a private getaway that's a few miles away from food, the casino, and downtown Cherokee, then this is the perfect place! The host was super nice, stayed in contact the whole time, and checking in/out was really simple.

The house is beautifully decorated, I love the porch and the rocking chairs. It is so peaceful and relaxing to listen to nature. A great escape from every day life.

Very nice cabin served our family trip purpose to stay near by Bryson City polar express train and bring home Christmas trees entirely. Would be a great spring/summer stay to trout fish tube and explore. Host was wonderful.

Very nice accommodations. Exceeded our expectations! Our trip was fairly short and the location was perfect to travel in and out of town for fishing, a visit to the casino and a ride over to the Visitors Center to see the elk, etc. Enjoyed seeing the otters in the river at the house. This home is perfect for 3 adult couples. Would love to stay here again! Host was very nice and communication was great!

Information about the House-The house was very clean and the details on decorating it did not go unnoticed. It is larger than what it looks like in the pictures. It had everything we needed for our 8-night stay. The host checked in on us many times to make sure we had everything we needed and even shared some known fishing spots since we were there to trout fish. The host and the house were perfect, and it felt like home for our vacation. You are very close to Town and the town has lots of shopping. For groceries we went to Walmart in Sylva which is about a half hour away. If you are coming to Cherokee to fish for trout the tribal waters do stock twice a week and there are many places to fish along the sides of the road on the Oconaluftee river. You do need to get a map and make sure you are fishing in the correct spots. There are spots you can only fly fish and not keep the trout, and not all of these are marked very well. There are many Elk everywhere and it was amazing to see them up close. Check out the Oconaluftee trail head we had a family walk right in front of us while we were fishing. We saw an Otter in the river in the back of the house, and it was very peaceful sitting on the deck. You have to have a North Carolina or Tennessee fishing license if you are not fishing in the Tribal waters and those sections are not stocked as often. I would recommend this house to anyone we enjoyed our stay thank you for letting us use your home. Happy fishing:)

Very nice. When we walked in we quickly felt at home. Beds comfy, porch over looking river great, owner was the perfect hostess, quick to answer texts. Everything was great

What a relaxing home to spend a week. Super clean and check in was easy as the owner made sure we were all set and didn't need anything. The river was beautiful. Water temps were a little warm so I found rapids up the road and caught lots of trout three days in a row. Watched elk at the smokey mountain welcome center in the evenings. Tubing is fun down the river as well. This house is close to absolutely everything. Jenkins store is a half mile away and offers some quick fried chicken and other take out food. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet escape to the mountains.

The property was perfect for our mutigenerational family.It was on the perfect location for Cherokee and Bryson City activities. It was spotless and comfortable. I would highly recomend this property.

We’ve stayed here multiple times now. It’s a fantastic location. Close to downtown but also secluded and tranquil for swimming and fishing. We love this spot! Day is very accommodating and responsive.

Cabin was everything that was stated, and more! Day was the perfect host and communication with her was great and so fast. Looking forward to coming again next year. Oh yea, saw one of the biggest bull elks ever as we were driving off the property!

Had a great stay and a nice place very clean and quiet

This was about spending time with family and getting away from our everyday lives. The house was everything I had read in the reviews. The driveway down to the property is a little step but we had an all wheel vehicle so it didn’t affect us.This was one of the cleanest rental houses I have rented before, one of my favorite parts was sitting on the front porch on the rocking chair just listening to nature, I also saw an otter up close. We fished a bit, not much luck there but it was so beautiful I didn’t mind. I only wished there were more time to stay at the property, but it was time to go back to the real world.

We would recommend this place for a for a very relaxing vacation time. Neat and clean. The front porch was the place to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the river in front of the place.

Great property!! Pics don't do it justice. We enjoyed our stay and had everything we could possibly need. Day was a great host and checked in with us often. Even the most random questions were answered very quickly and Day was super helpful with questions not relating to the property. The view from the master is beautiful. We will stay here again. It was off the beaten path and secluded for privacy. The house was very clean and very detailed in the decor. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it!

We rent vrbos all over the US . We enjoyed this property probably the best. It was nice and quite and very relaxing and clean. The driveway is a little steep but your stay makes it all worth the driveway. The property management was quick to respond to answer questions. Literally responded within 5 minutes. The outside photos does no justice at all for this property. Inside is a farmhouse cabin setting. They spared no expense when it came to decorating for your comfort. I can tell you that if your reading this review dont hesitate BOOK NOW you will love it. We will be back
