It is a beautiful historic farmhouse in a quiet setting. Plenty of room for our family of 5. It’s a pretty 1mile walk along picturesque streets to the downtown shopping district of Saugatuck. I would definitely stay there again

What a charming property! Updated, old farmhouse with so much character. It had everything we needed…functioning kitchen with all the necessary tools and supplies, plenty of bathroom space, cozy & comfortable feel and CLEAN! I could have stayed days longer and looked at the vintage books while sitting on the antique chairs! We particularly liked watching the turkey browse through the yard, the barred owl in the tree and the doe and fawn that visited one morning. The house is just close enough to downtown Saugatuck but far enough away from the car and foot traffic. We easily found nearby grocery stores and enjoyed walking trails. The house comfortably fit our whole group of 9. It was a lovely weekend.

We were very happy by selecting this home. The property was even more than described. It was a mile from town and less than 10 minutes from Holland.

With a bathroom, washer and dryer ALL in the kitchen, this wacky layout did not work for us. If you want to walk more than 4-5 miles one way then I guess you could technically consider yourself close to downtown. The description of the farmhouse was really not what was described! It was frustrating that two of the bedrooms were upstairs, but only one of the bathrooms was upstairs. It was really inconvenient!!! Also, to make a person have to walk up and downstairs in order to use the bathroom that was meant for them was ridiculous. We purposefully tried to get a house that would have 3 bedrooms/3 baths for 3 women. On top of that, there was just a lot of funky things in this house like the washer and dryer butted up against an old refrigerator that didn't even have an ice machine smack dab in the kitchen; dirty dishes left in the dishwasher, no air going upstairs, dirty coffee maker with old grounds in it. One of the bathrooms was only half cleaned. The house overall is very dark with really bad yellow lighting that makes it worse at night. Then we kept getting messages about all the charges we would incur if we did this or that --- very annoying. Finally, it just made for a very unwelcome feeling to have this list of all the things that weren't gonna be provided plus on top of that, losing time in the house because of the late check in/early checkout, which meant that we paid for 4 days of house but really only got 3 days of use. Not a house we would pay for again. No value!

This house was nicely renovated and very comfortable. It was a quick drive into Saugatuck, but in the country enough that we saw deer and turkeys in the yard while having our morning coffee outside on the patio.
