SONGWRITERS SANCTUARY was formerly owned by Michael Masser, famous American songwriter, composer and producer who created popular music for artists such as Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Roberta Flack and Natalie Cole.

This luxurious and private estate is the ULTIMATE property in the heart of the Movie Colony Neighborhood – just a quick and easy walk to downtown Palm Springs, Ruth Hardy Park, five star restaurants, cafes, the famous Aqua Caliente Spa Resort Casino and the historic O`Donnell Country Club and golf course.

Meticulously remodeled and maintained, this 6 Bedroom, 5 Bath private home features a large living room with cozy fireplace, hardwood floors and an inviting environment. The Family Room has an enclosed fireplace with queen sleeper sofa and overlooks the extensive resort-like pool and outdoor entertaining area.
This private estate is walled and gated for your privacy and has plenty of parking for multiple vehicles.
1. You must be at least 28 years of age to reserve any home with ModMansions. Guest must provide a copy of a valid government issued photo id.
2. Your reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of a completed and signed rental agreement and a copy of your valid government issued photo ID.
3. Parking: A maximum of 5 cars.
4. Check-in is between 4 pm - 6pm and check-out is 10 am.
5. All homes are non-smoking.
6. Exterior music of any level is prohibited 24/7 by the City of Palm Springs Vacation Rental Ordinance and your signed rental agreement.
7. Our homes are for overnight accommodation only. No Parties or Events permitted
8. Dogs (2 dogs maximum) are welcome at our property with a $200 each non-refundable deposit.
9. The Pool is NOT heated.
However, please let reservations know if you would like to have the Pool heated.
Pool HEAT: Flat rate of $70 per night--two night minimum stay. Contact ModMansions at least 2 days prior to arrival for this option. Pool is heated from 5am-9pm, to between 80° - 85° depending on exterior temps.
If property is listed as having a Jacuzzi, then Jacuzzi & Pool HEAT combined OR separate has a flat rate of $70 per night.
Swimming Pools :
Our pools are exclusively for humans, NEVER for dogs. Pet fur can wreak havoc on pool and spa filters, so please keep them out so you don`t incur charges. Instead, we invite them to enjoy the backyard from the grass or patio areas.
10. 3rd Party Vendors such as Chefs, Masseuses, etc., need to provide liability insurance certification. Please advise ModMansions.
11. CANCELLATION POLICY:
30 days prior to scheduled arrival date, you will receive a refund of any advance payments. 14 days prior to scheduled arrival date will receive a 50% refund.
Between 0 and 13 days prior to scheduled arrival, no refunds will be granted.
No refund will be given for early departures.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact ModMansions.
Special event weekends, holidays (Christmas/NYE/Thanksgiving/Coachella, etc.) & long-term rentals (stays 28 nights +) no refund will be given.
Should ModMansions re-rent the property for those specific dates, then ModMansions has the option of
refunding the amount we were able to re-rent it for, up to the prepaid amount.
Rates:
Published rates are based on standard occupancy, do not include cleaning fees nor a combined 12.5% tax which includes City of Palm Springs room tax and a TBID Tax Assessment.
Payment Schedule:
An advance Deposit (50%) is due at the time of signing the contract with ModMansions. The balance is due 90 days prior to your arrival at the property. In complex long-term reservations, payment arrangements may be made.
Utilities - (stays of 28+ nights):
If staying in a home, with its own private pool, for 28 nights or more, the guest will be required to pay a utility deposit of $1,000.00 to $3,000.00 depending on the property. This deposit will be used to pay the actual monthly gas and electric bills and copies of the actual bills will be provided to the guest. Should the stay
exceed 28 nights and utilities used exceed the utility deposit, the guest agrees to pay an additional deposit to cover the remaining stay. This is not an additional income source for ModMansions
Additional Fees/Terms:
2-night minimum stay required. 3, 4, 5 nights required during In Season holiday dates and events.
Cleaning fee of $400 is added to rentals.
Per your ModMansions rental agreement, 10:00 pm is `Quiet Time`. So, in order to ensure a most wonderful and enjoyable stay for you and your guests, please share and familiarize yourself with the above information.
Check Out Instructions:
1. Take out trash and place in containers provided at the property.
2. Dirty dishes Pop in dishwasher, and push start. Don`t forget the dishwasher tablet provided.
3. Strip bed of sheets and pillow cases and place on floor at the end of each bed.
4 . Place dirty towels, etc. on the floor of laundry room area.
5. Left over food items - Our housekeeping staff is happy to take home!
6. Please be sure to close windows, lock doors & place house key in outside lock box. Code to lockbox given at Check- In.

    We had the most relaxed weekend. The house was beautiful, immaculate, and well appointed. The pool area was charming with plenty of shade and comfy places to sit in between refreshing swims. It was very well located...we laughed that it was 7 minutes from anyplace we wanted to go. Including the airport. The neighborhood was quiet. The birds were entertaining. There was great communication with David, the owner. We will be back.

    This house is perfect for large groups! We had 10 people and the space was perfect and had enough bedrooms and bathrooms that nobody felt cramped.The outdoor and pool areas are to die for and we loved lounging around the pool during the day, and walking into town at night for dinner. We were concerned about the Palm Springs noise ordinance, but didn't run into any issues with it and as long as you follow the rules, you shouldn't either.David was a great point of contact for the check in process and it was amazing that we were allowed to check in at 10am instead of the usual 4pm.We'd definitely stay here again!

    David was an excellent responsive host. House is very accommodating for a group and had one of the best supplied kitchens we have ever had in a rental. Great location near airport, main shopping street, and Joshua Tree. Highly recommend

    This was a great place for a family get together. There was 14 in our group and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect. Ktichen fully decked out for all meals, we did a full blown Thanksgiving dinner cooked on site. Having two ovens, a six-burner stove top and two dish washers were perfect. The pool and jacuzzi, and patio was great for the kids (and the adults). Not really any green space for backyard activities. The pictures in the description are deceptive, the place is much bigger and spread out. And areas can be closed off for privacy as needed. Close to downtown (walking distance) and centrally located. David was immediately responsive, would definitely return!

    What a great house! 6 full bedrooms with their own bathrooms (one joining), plenty of room for multiple couples! We appreciated the 2 dishwashers too! 15-minute walk from shuttles to/from Stagecoach and walking distance to main strip. There are a lot of rules but in the end if you take care of the property and be respectful it’s not hard to comply. Backyard had a lagoon feel with full privacy. Well stocked kitchen!

    Our stay had something for everyone. Walking distance to a park with playground, tennis courts and basketball courts; walking distance to downtown Palm Springs; very close to the airport; no need to rent a car; pool for the kids; walking distance to hiking trails. The house was super comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a better time.

    We had such a fun 29th college reunion long weekend! House is very spacious and well appointed. Very Clean and our host was great. Easy, responsive and very nice. Location is awesome- we walked to restaurants & shops & rooftop yoga. Hiked in Joshua tree one day which was stunning. Only drawback was no music allowed outside ever, which is a palm springs thing (not just this house I think) but all of the stern warnings just made us feel a little nervous- but we’re a tame old group so it wasn’t an issue. Would definitely recommend staying here!

    The property is even better than the pictures show. Communication with property manager was impeccable, and the check-in/check-out process was a breeze. Would recommend this property and any property managed by ModMansions to anyone.
