What a beautiful place…Pawpaw’s place! This spot is well taken care of. You can feel the love from the inside out. The house is spacious and very well stocked. If you forgot it, Dawn has already thought about it. Being outside and enjoying the fire pit was our favorite part. Beautiful clean pond. I can’t say enough about this property. If you are ready to relax, come and enjoy!!!

My family loved PawPaw’s Place from the minute we topped the hill! We needed a place to recharge before school started back and we didn’t want to travel far and this place exceeded all of our expectations! We also always love a secluded place where we can just be at HOME .. this was definitely secluded! We were there a whole week and didn’t get to do everything there but had a great time fishing and sitting on the porch! My 13 year old son had been on a mission to catch his first Bass and he ended up catching 6! Dawn was the best hostess making sure we had everything we needed and then some!! We will definitely be back .. just wished it was tomorrow! Thank you Dawn for taking such good care of us!!!

This Vrbo rental exceeded every expectation. Tucked away in a beautifully secluded setting yet conveniently close to everything we needed, it offered the best of both worlds—peaceful and private, but not isolated.The home was spotless upon arrival, and everything was immaculately maintained. The beds were incredibly comfortable—like sleeping in a cloud—and the hotel-quality linens and plush towels were a luxurious touch. You can really tell the owners care about their guests’ experience.The kitchen was a dream—fully stocked with everything you’d use at home, including both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker (huge bonus!). We didn’t need to bring a thing. Every detail was thoughtfully considered.The surrounding property was just lovely. We enjoyed quiet mornings by the serene pond and evening strolls through the peaceful area—it’s like something out of a storybook. Communication with the owners was fantastic as well—warm, responsive, and professional from start to finish.Truly one of the best rental experiences we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to return!

This property is paradise in the country! Chatham is the root of our family so it was great to be in Chatham and still be free enough to do all the things we used to do with my grandfather when we visited 20 years ago. Now that my grandad is older being able to make it easier for him to come to where he is is important to us! This home had everything we wanted, needed and didn’t know we needed! All the way down to a sharpie! Dawn was more than helpful and communicative! Loved this experience

PaPaw’s place is so peaceful and beautiful. The perfect place to escape the busy world. Dawn is great. She thinks of everything and has it ready before you ask.

Everybody was amazed with the property. The house was perfect. Beds just right. Cant think of anything we could have needed, maybe a few more days,lol. I caught my first big cat fish. Need to come back.

We’ve stayed at Pawpaw’s several times over the years and we have never been disappointed! As soon as we drive up over the hill and see the pond, house and grounds it feels like city stress all falls away! So many homey touches like baskets of soft blankets and quilts for snuggling under. Cabinets well stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal or cook outside, just need the groceries. The house always smells terrific! If we lived closer, we would stay a lot more often! Our host, Dawn, is easy to reach and very sweet and approachable.

Pawpaw’s place has become our favorite place to stay for our family getaway. We have been multiple times and it’s always a great experience. Quiet, relaxing, and so many things to do on the property. Ms. Dawn is wonderful at providing information and helping with any questions or issues. The house is well maintained, clean, and stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed spending most of our time sitting outside and fishing at the pond. It’s such a beautiful view. We love that this property allows dogs as well. Our pup enjoyed walking around the pond and sitting at the dock. We look forward to coming back in the future!

This was the prefect place for us to stay for a fishing tournament. Just minutes away from the landing. Great house with all the amenities and wonderful sitting outdoors and taking in the scenery. Will book here again.

They thought of everything! Comfortable and convenient, well furnished kitchen, great linens. Pond has lots of turtles, fish and even saw ducks.

We travel alot for High School tournament fishing. We felt like we were at home and didnt go without a single comfort.Not only was there a pond on property, it was close to Caney, Jimmy Davis state park, and only 15 minutes to Jonesboro. Beautiful property, friendly host, peaceful all around. 15 minutes from Jonesboro.

Tranquil and fun

Dawn was a very good communicator. My son and his groomsmen had a great place to get together. Thank you Dawn for letting them use your home!

We could not have chosen a better place for our annual family get together. We caught fish in the pond, took the kids on a boat ride, they played on the playground and in the sandbox while we all sat around the firepit, and best, there were NO MOSQUITOES biting us. There was plenty of room in the kitchen for us to congregate around the bar during cookings, and the outside grills worked flawlessly. There was plenty of parking and the site is very secluded. Overall....PERFECT !

We had a two family road trip from Iowa and this beautiful cabin was our destination. Every single thing you need is already here, just bring food and clothes! The kids loved the pond and play equipment. The kitchen is fully stocked, there were bath toys for the baby, and a pack and play and monitor! Everything was perfect, I would definitely recommend this cabin to a friend and would come back if we ever venture back to Louisiana!

The property is idyllic. Peaceful, quiet, beautifully appointed, great location close to Caley Lake. For us and our grandkids, it checks all the boxes. We'll book again.

It was the best choice for our 38th anniversary!!! It was peaceful, shaded, and very relaxing! Everything was very organized, clean and there for our using, but we just chose to sit, fish and enjoy nature!!! We will be back!!! Thanks for being so prompt and a GREAT host!!!
