This was the perfect setting for a multi-family, multi-generational getaway. We had 5 families come together to celebrate our parents’ 60th wedding anniversary. With separate sleeping options, this home created the perfect location to combine privacy and community time where we enjoyed cooking, playing games, reading, and watching movies. Besides being absolutely breathtaking, the outdoor setting and amenities provided for hours of yard games, pontoons rides, paddle boarding, kayaking, and campfires. Our hosts were thoughtful and responsive which made everything go smoothly. Thank you Erin & Lynn!
We had a great experience ... the amenities were excellent, the owners were awesome to work with and the views of the lake were fantastic. The kids spent every day playing at lake (kayaking, paddle boarding, etc) and the adults enjoyed the privacy of the space. We would highly recommend this property to everyone!
Lots of room for our curling team to relax, play, party, and cook. We enjoyed the theatre, pool table, and all of the sleeping space. Great communication from the owners too. Thanks.
Gracious hosts, a very well-stocked kitchen, plenty of supplies, comfy beds, the cozy wood-burning fireplace (so appreciated with the sub-zero cold)--all made our Christmas stay a wonderful time. We set up the card table in the office for our games & puzzles; the pool table and theater room provided additional entertainment. This lovely home in a quiet spot was just right for our family of 11.
Our stay at Ninebark was perfect in every way. Home is privately situated at the end of a winding road and is spacious with everything you need for a family getaway. Excellent beach for small children and space to run and play for all. On a rainy day we enjoyed watching movies in the lower level theatre or taking a quick jaunt to Baxter and Brainerd for shopping and lunch. The owners were delightful to work with and responsive to any questions or concerns. We are already planning for next year! Thank you Erin, Lynn and Jim!
The house is situated on the end on the peninsula, so you are surrounded by nothing but water and trees. We had a great time staying here because it was so peaceful whether you were out side sitting on the deck, hanging out by the big fire pit, or floating around on the water. The house was great with a nice big family room, pool table room and movie room giving plenty of options depending on how you want to relax. We had a blast on our trip and are already looking at dates to go back.
This is the most amazing lake property! It is simultaneously minutes from Baxter and Brainerd (truly 5-10 minutes) and COMPLETELY remote. You wind down a small dirt drive for over a mile and at the very end emerge to the beautiful home and lake views on 3 sides. We had 8 adults and 5 children VERY comfortably (thanks for so many cribs, high chairs, bath toys, kids movies, etc!). Everyone has their own space while also being very communal. The shallow, sandy beach is absolutely perfect for kids, even little ones (ours were 1-4). It stays shallow and they can just walk right down and swim. The big lily pad float pad makes for hours of fun. You can take the pontoon out easily and enjoy sunsets; the fire pit is amazing for campfires or for cooking! The theater room can easily accommodate more sleepers or is a great refuge for tired kiddos (and adults) in between hours in the water. Mine just alternated: swimming, movie, swimming, movie. Their ideal vacation with lots of sun and exercise and some quality time with Sleeping Beauty and Horton Hears a Who on a huge screen. The kitchen is spacious and well-stocked and the pool table in the basement provides loads of fun, too. The huge yard is completely private and perfect for toddler baseball, bean bags, water balloon fights, yoga, anything. You can hear the birds and will certainly see deer, eagles, and lots of other wildlife. Everyone was very communicative and organized. It felt like a home while being perfectly suited to visitors. I think it would be an awesome, cozy refuge truly any time of year. Heading back over Labor Day weekend!!
We came for girls weekend and didn't want to go home! From the cozy living room, to the amenities in the kitchen, to the movie room - this place has it all. Owners very easy to cmunicate with and very concerned about us enjoying our stay. Will definitely be back!!
Great place well maintained
Accommodations were good for our family. Grandkids enjoyed playing with the toys. Waterfront was nice for kids. Nice to have kayaks and pontoon to use.
