Private Paradise --- Lovely, spacious home with large pool and ocean view

We thoroughly enjoyed the house! It had great space. The scenery around the home is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. You can see the ocean in the distance from the backyard. We enjoyed having our coffee on the balcony of the main master bedroom. There were great restaurants and excursions nearby. Our favorite excursion was the ATV ride. Costa Rica is a beautiful country to visit and this VRBO home definitely was a perfect spot! Keep in mind it is a 4 hour drive from airport so if we come back we will take a smaller plane into Uvita or get into San Juan earlier in the day to drive rather than at night. :)

Ojochal is a great town. The views at the house are fantastic and seeing the large variety of birds from the sitting area by the pool was fantastic. The property manager Dawn was very helpful and accommodation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas at La Bendicion with our family and friends. The property and house were outstanding and exceeded our expectations, with Macaws and lots of birds flying around. We were all blow away by the views as soon as we stepped on the property. The property manager was incredible, she was very responsive to our questions or any issues we may have encountered which were very few. They really went out of their way to make sure our stay was amazing, they even decorated the house for Christmas including 2 Christmas trees. The house is close to all amenities and there are many different types of adventure excursions within driving distance away. We plan to come back here again as soon as we can!

Really can’t say anything bad about this place, it was super clean and very well stocked, the kitchen had everything you could think of including spices and basic staples. The place had a big supply of board/card games, books, local maps, pool toys and towels. All you need to bring is your own personal things! Check in (and out) was super quick and easy, Dawn the property manager was very nice and helpful with any question about the property or local area. The local area is quiet at the house, but yet close to lots of attractions and stores should you need something. The list of tours and recommendations given by the host was helpful, we did several of them and they were awesome. The house and yard are very well maintained. It really is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. We have already recommended it to several of our friends.

Beautiful home & grounds. Felt very safe. Numerous restaurants nearby. Dawn & her husband Steve were excellent in responding to our questions/needs. Great for our family of 9. The weather was also wonderful for our New Years vacation.

The home was perfect for our family. The home was very clean and the grounds were beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything needed. The teens and adults loved the pool. Great location with quick access to many beaches and waterfalls.

This house was a wonderful place for our group of 5 with ages ranging from 18 to 73 yrs celebrating the 18 yr old’s HS Graduation. The beautiful home was located in a large garden setting with a view of the Pacific Ocean. When we were at the house our time was spent out by pool on the large covered patio. I, being the senior & not going on the activity tours, spent 3 days relaxing by the pool, swimming, reading books & so enjoying the peace & quiet. In the evenings after dinner the group would go night swimming & watching thunderstorms off in the distance from the patio. The property manager, Dawn, was outstanding providing us with internet sites for scheduling activities tours before our arrival & food sources (restaurants & grocery stores) near house. The drive to the house from main road was always an adventure & you must have a 4WD vehicle. Dawn met us at the house on our arrival & did a walk thru explaining the everyday life at the house - meaning what to do when electricity goes out. This did happen quite a bit but a minor issue. It was never out more than 5-10 mins. The house has about everything you can ask for in way of supplies & kitchen set up. This is the first vacation trip over the years where we’ve not had to buy bottled water. The water is outstanding here in Costa Rica. The food at restaurants was marvelous. We wish we could have stayed a few days longer. Thank you Charles & Carol for making your home available to us.

Waking up to the exotic sound of monkeys and spotting hummingbirds the very first morning we couldn't ask for a better beginning of our Costa Rica adventure! The House was perfect for our family of 3 generations and the local host, Dawn, was very helpful and kind before, during and after our stay. I highly recommend La Bendicion.

The house is awesome. The master bedroom upstairs has a wonderful balcony with a sea view and a view of the lovely garden. Each room downstairs has it's own piece of the patio and the pool is perfect. The location is gorgeous. Definitely check out the Ojochal waterfall! The road up is an experience, especially at night. Once you are used to it it works fine, but for the first night make sure you bring dinner with you! It's dark.
