Private location with spectacular river and mountain views!

This place stands out for a few reasons. In my check-in conversation with the host (he said he usually meets people upon their arrival, but we were driving from far away and arriving too late for that), it became immediately clear that the building of this house was a labor of love for him. Every choice was made with thought and care. Every window frames a stunning snapshot of nature (woods, river, mountains, no people). The house was immaculate, the kitchen is well stocked, and Scott put breakfast items in the fridge for us. The beds are very comfortable. Scott was extremely communicative.

Scott was an excellent host and his home was immaculate. We came for a few days of skiing and it was nice to have such a great place to come back to and not have to worry about basic supplies - it was so well stocked! Quick drive to the mountain and great restaurants nearby.

This was one of the nicest vacation rentals we've ever stayed in. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for our ski weekend, and the view of the river is stunning (even in winter). We felt fully prepared for whatever winter weather came our way (turned out to be 22 of snow) because Scott's home is so nice and well-equipped (generator, snowblower, driveway plowing service that was timely and thorough). The host was very communicative and personable, and he provided a detailed introduction to the home by phone when we got in to ensure a smooth and comfortable stay. We could not have asked for a better rental experience for our Sunday River family ski weekend. Would definitely highly recommend this home and would stay there again.

Host greeted us and walked through property to make sure we had everything we needed. Even had a few things for breakfast available. Easy to cook & grill at this vrbo. Kitchen was well stocked.

A beautiful house and a wonderful, easy experience. Perfectly located for all of the many outdoor activities in town, and the house is fully stocked with kitchen and laundry equipment. The owner is very easy going and helpful. Looking forward to another stay!

Handsome house with gorgeous view.

Our stay was great quiet and peaceful. River overlook was so relaxing. Scott made us feel at home with his personal tour of the house.

We have spent 1- and 2-week vacations in Maine for almost 20 years, and all four of us agree that this is the nicest house we have stayed in. The view from the living room is spectacular, looking down at the Androscoggin River and the mountains to the west. The house has two very comfortable bedrooms; the primary has an adjoining bathroom, while the other is close to the bathroom which has the washer and dryer. The house itself is beautifully designed and built, and the host provided us with everything we could need, and even had some breakfast food available when we arrived. We enjoyed trips into Bethel, finding great little pubs and restaurants, a pottery studio, a museum, etc. There are many hiking trails only a few miles from the house, and several outdoor attractions (other trails and waterfalls) only minutes away. We hope to vacation here again in the near future!

Wonderful

We were headed to Bethel for a couple of days of hiking. Scott’s place on the Androscoggin River fit our bill perfectly. The house is two miles from downtown and close to numerous hiking trails. We were very impressed with everything about the house. From the house the views of the river were spectacular. If ever in the area in the future we would definitely love to rent this property again.

Beautiful home with amazing backyard view. Felt like you were in the middle of the woods, but only minutes from town!

We had the pleasure of staying at this home for the month of February where we used as home base for a ski house. Little did we know about how much more it was. Its scenic location, breathtaking views and sunrise/sunsets are what calendars are made from. The house was modern, very well kept, had everything we needed to make it feel like home. Very clean, just perfect for what we were looking for. The drive to the mountain was only 15-20 min pending traffic, and downtown Bethel even closer. The only thing better than the house was the host, who always was available and checked in regularly on our stay and if we had any needs. 5 starts all around. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Thanksgiving get away! Gorgeous spot with smazing view. While we were here it snowed which just added to the beauty. Scott is excellent host. Enjoed everything about this house.

This would be it! The views are unrivaled and the architecture of the home highlights the beauty of the nature that surrounds it. We had a blast tubing down the river and taking quiet walks around the property. Scott is a kind and communicative host. Our stay was magical. Thank you!

I cannot say enough good things about this amazing home and wonderful owners. The location is a perfect distance to summer hiking, kayaking on the river, a community garden, great places to eat, buy food, local shopping, Sunday River and even the local airport. And if none of those appeal to you, simply spending time at the house is relaxing enough. For me, the home itself was my kind of dream home. The set up makes you feel comfortable right away, and the house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The owners are incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating, and made sure I was settled and comfortable for the stay. I can say that I was relaxed and fully enjoyed every second of the completely stress free stay, and I hope that I will be able to return many more times in the future!
