Private Lake Front Home on Lake Toxaway in Western North Carolina!

A great house for our family birthday celebration

Please remember this review is being written by a 80 yr old man. My views may not pertain to my younger readers. I am always conflicted when I write a review about a location that I plan on returning to, for fear it will be overrun with tourists. This goes essentially for Lake Toxaway NC. I have in the last 3 years walked away from a property that misrepresented itself with photos and descriptions. Not this one. We stayed 11 days. Although the property could use upgrades in furniture and appliances, they were acceptable. Pros: For a young family with children this place is great Lake is wonderful with private dock Deck and screened room were my hangout Plenty of toys for kids and adults are available Overlooking a lake and mountains is priceless Riestaurants are plentiful and upscale Home was comfortable and spacious. Master bed and bathroom suite are outstanding. Cons: Home is right off the major highway and road traffic broke the silence. Lightbulbs in home have seen better day Extension cords under the rig is not cool Sofa and chairs are just acceptable Dragging suitcases upstairs was an issue so we left mostly of our clothes in a downstairs bedroom. The mattress in that room sagged on one side. Driving in and out of the property is challenging

This home is a well stocked and comfy lake house with a beautiful view, and ample indoor and outdoor space. The host was responsive and thoughtful.There is a stocked linen closet, games and well appointed kitchen with an extra ice maker!Access to the lake was very easy and the hot tub was a big hit. Location is AMAZING….close to everything. Loved our time there

This house was in a great location right on the lake with a nice deck and a hot tub. There were seven bedrooms with one of the rooms being a bunk room with six twin beds. The house was well appointed with cooking utensils, and dishes. The dock was also great for hanging out on down by the lake. They were lots of water, toys, and lifejackets, kayaks, and paddle boards, the only negative I would say is that the TVs remote controls didn’t work due to batteries I think we had to take the remote control from downstairs and use it on the TV upstairs, but we didn’t figure that out until the second to last night of our stay The host was very responsive and easy to work with. There was plenty of room in this house.

A lovely home right on the lake. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and the mattresses were quite comfortable. Toys in the boathouse (paddleboards, kayaks, floaties) provided fun for the younger ones and a few older ones too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Toxaway Treasure. The house was super clean and accommodated our family - us, our children, and grandchildren perfectly. We loved the open living/dining/cooking area downstairs. The bedrooms were quiet and afforded privacy. We love being on the lake and appreciate the use of kayaks and water floats, etc. that the owner offers. We will definitely be back!

This was a perfect house for a family of nine, It could have accommodated more. The big den kitchen was perfect for all of us. The hot tub was a plus . The boat house had many toys that the teenagers enjoyed. I would recommend this property to anyone. Lake Toxaway is a beautiful lake.

My wife and I have townhouse on lake and we were looking for residence for overflow for family week. Bob’s home was perfect for everyone, especially water activities on lake. We were able to dock our boat to take kids tubing, knee boarding, wake boarding while the others paddle boarded or kayaked all over the lake. Dining table was perfect for monopoly deal , 99, and many games of left, right, center. We have rented other homes on lake for family over last 5 years and this was family favorite.

Perfect setting on the lake.

The house was clean, spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. We took full advantage of the lake access and all of the water toys- paddling back and forth to our family's 2nd rental across the lake . The deck and the view were perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. An excellent spot for a memorable family reunion!
