Nice, other than: no view to speak of, musty towels, tv incapable of showing programs or movies without constantly reloading, just not viewable. House needs wall and ceiling repairs. Grand piano is missing several keys which was an important factor in choosing this house.

Property is not as pictured online. Lots of old and worn furniture and many personal items remain in the home. We felt like we broke into a house when a family was away instead of renting a VRBO. There is a very small view around the trees of Frenchmen’s Bay instead of what the listing showed. Freezer would hardly open. Beds were comfortable. We did appreciate the helpful hints on traveling backroads to Acadia Natl Park.

Great large house, with well-equipped kitchen with chef stove. Good location for visiting Acadia & local beaches. Fun looking for shells & seaglass. Used lobster pot that is in the house 3 x. Has great deck with gas grill. Saw deer in the backyard. 3 bedrooms all with their own bathroom's made it an easy stay with adult family members

We really enjoyed our stay in Hancock. The location is very central close to Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park and Schoodic. We slept comfortably for a party of 7. Note the last bed is actually the sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is a main draw it's very well stocked and appointed. Everything you need to cook meals. The owners also provided a binder of great tips and recommendations. The house doesn't have AC but it's cool at night with the windows open. The owner is very attentive and responds right away.

As always, we had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable, with an accommodating porch and lawn area for spending time together. and is situated in an excellent location that is both private and steps from the ocean. Love the access to Carter Beach and the boat club! Thank you!

We appreciated the roomy space for the four of us and our dog. The location served us well for going to Acadia/Bar Harbor and the Schoodic Peninsula. Pickled Wrinkle was a great lunch spot. Hancock Point was lovely for short and long walks as well as bike rides.

We loved our stay at this lovely home! Short walk to the ocean. We got to enjoy many beautiful sunrises. The dogs enjoyed playing in the yard. Was the perfect location, not far from Acadia, but far enough away from all the traffic and tourists!

We had a very nice stay for 5 nights, and it was perfect for a family of 5. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the house was very spacious. The house has a lot of character and history to it, and we felt so welcomed. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect for families. The drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor took about 30-40 minutes, and about 30 minutes to Schoodic Peninsula. George was very responsive to a few inquiries, and we would stay here again.

Hancock point is a beautiful location and overall we had a nice vacation; however, a problem with the hot water and the host's inability to address to our satisfaction resulted in our leaving the property two days early. We were misled prior to our trip into thinking there was no problem, despite the prior guest's complaint, and that even if there was a problem it was being addressed. It turns out there was a problem and five days into our stay it had not been addressed. When notifying the host we couldn't stay any longer, they still denied there was an issue, but stated if there were an issue, hot water is considered a minor issue by VRBO, so it's a non-issue. We will definitely return to the Acadia National Park area, just not at a property managed by this host, or any by VRBO.

I was told a house with an ocean view except the trees have overgrown so much you can barely see a sunset so those posted pics are not accurate Upon entry it was so over run with chemicals from the person cleaning trying to cover up the mustyness of the property that i was having an asthma attack. We opened the windows and left them open to air out the house while we went to dinner and little did we know there were so many Structural issues with the screens that we came home to a kitchenfull of little bugs swarming the lights and bedrooms full of them as well. That was awful !!! The piano and the deck with patio furniture turned out to be a piano with the most relevant keys not functioning while the deck was not only dangerous with an unstable railing but no patio furniture and the deck was covered in sea mold. The TV with “full cpable “ had three remotes no instructions and when the host was contacted he knew zero about the T.V. TV and grilling out we resorted to puzzles only to be disappointed when we found out there were missing pieces and I guess fully stocked with condiments didnt mean ketchup, mayo or yellow mustard The last straw was - The whole Point of our trip was a wedding on June 2nd and of which my daughters were flower girls But 4 adults and 3 children woke up to no hot water and no call back from the maintenance person who was listed so i was real happy that both my girls couldnt shower or do their hair- did i mention it was 80 degrees outside !!!
