Private guest house in OBX with a two night minimum stay requirement

This property is in a very serene quiet location. It is close to shopping, restaurants, golf courses and the beach. The owners were very responsive and pleasant to deal with.

Our family prioritizes cleanliness when we travel and boy did we find it here! The home was perfect, the neighborhood wonderful for strolls, and the proximity to downtown Duck made everything JUST right!!! Thanks to the fabulous owners!

Mike & Sandi's guest apartment is wonderful! They offer a very quiet, private and clean apartment, perfect for a few days to get away. The apartment sits above the garage and is separate from the main house. It's very tastefully decorated and well equipped. A few highlights: - A COMFORTABLE bed! The amount of times we've had nice places with horrible mattresses is disheartening. - A nice cordless vacuum. - All the pots and pans, utensils and dinnerware were great quality and in excellent condition. - Remote controlled blinds! Unlike so many beach rentals, the owners didn't cut corners and equip their apartment with low quality, worn out fixtures, furniture or kitchenware, or anything else for that matter. All the details were thought of as if for their own use and high standards. Communication was thorough and excellent! The neighborhood is wonderful, very quiet and off the beaten path, clearly a very established permanent resident community. A very welcome, different feel from the rows of beach rental homes 10 minutes away. This being a smaller place, it doesn't have washer and dryer access, but we knew this going in and didn't mind as our trip was only three days. Beach access is more involved. Duck doesn't have public beach access and parking is reserved on most roads for local residents. We simply drove 10 minutes south to get easy access to Kitty Hawk beaches. We loved our stay and can wholeheartedly recommend this apartment. Can't wait to stay here again!

It was just relaxing for us.

The space is newly finished and clean. It's in a nice neighborhood for walking, which we appreciated with our dog. The property owners were friendly and communicative. There's parking for two cars and the beaches/shopping are not a terribly long drive away. The only issue was the climate control. I suspect the smart thermostat in the loft is setup so that guests can't change the temperature, as the system was unresponsive no matter what temperature was set (as confirmed by our dive computers).

We loved the apartment! Beautiful, clean and modern and less than 2 miles from Southern Shore beaches. The neighborhood was lovely and peaceful and provided a great place to walk my dog. The host was kind and helpful. Highly recommend!
