Private Garden Cottage in the heart of Historic Southport!

The cottage was cozy, clean, and well-equipped. Everything was in great condition, and the surroundings were amazing. I had a wonderful stay and would gladly return.

We truly enjoyed our 2 day stay at Birdsong Cottage in Southport NC. Check-in was easy and we had a designated off street parking spot. The house was close to everything including shopping, dining, and art galleries. It was a quick walk to the water where you could sit on benches or swings and enjoy the view. Kelly had a bottle of wine and a wonderful little charcuterie box as a welcoming gift and was on site in case we needed anything. Casual dining at Provisions was fun, but our special anniversary dinner at Edgewater was outstanding! We enjoyed.every bite and all the restaurants were an easy walk. We would definitely return here for another visit!

All was good for our two night get away. Walkable to everything, private, great communication with hosts and comfortable. We enjoyed the surprise cheese box and wine. Bed very comfy. The only thing that we did suggest to the host, was that more attention to dusting be done. We noticed the ceiling fans, bathroom light fixture and a couple of other things/areas were pretty dusty. Other than that, it was a very relaxing enjoyable stay.

Space is exceptionally clean. It was quiet, comfortable and convenient. The owners were awesome- super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this cozy cottage!!

The location of this cottage was EXCELLENT! Walking distance to everything! Not even one block from the main street with shops and the park. Just a few blocks to the waterfront and walking distance the other direction to great restaurants on the water. Great communication from the owner and cottage was very neat and clean.

We LOVED our weekend getaway at Birdsong Cottage! The cottage, hosts, and location were perfect. We can't wait to get back! The only downside is that it is so far from our house, so we can't go there every weekend. :)

My husband and myself loved our stay at the Birdsong Cottage. The cottage was immaculate, with a complimentary cheese board and a bottle of wine in the fridge when we arrived. The host communicated with us as needed. We felt very safe and could walk to all the restaurants nearby.

Lovely cottage with lots of extra touches to make our getaway a special one! The owners went the extra mile to communicate with us and provide everything we could want or need. There was even a bottle of wine and a lovely cheese tray in the fridge waiting for us upon arrival. We felt more like welcomed houseguests than customers or clients.

This was our second lovely stay at the cottage. Kelly is a great hostess and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived! The cottage is clean and cozy- the location is in walking (and biking) distance to all the places we love in Southport. We also enjoyed sitting in the garden area and listening to music from a nearby venue. All in all the perfect way to experience Southport!

Outstanding !! So clean and convienent! It was so “homey” and the gift basket of wine and cheese from the Southport cheese shop was so sweet. Just a block from downtown Southport-we could and did walk everywhere. We will definitely be staying here again!!! I hope soon.

A hidden gem of a stay—literally. If you’re looking for a cozy, clean, and charming cottage that is tucked away and secluded, yet located in the heart of Historic Southport, this is the perfect spot. The hosts were wonderful; they greeted us upon arrival and guided us down the brick pathway to the cottage. After that, we were free to explore Southport’s shops, restaurants, and, of course, the port and shoreline. A welcome basket with a bottle of wine and a small charcuterie board provided a thoughtful and inviting touch. The cottage was stocked with plenty of plush towels, as well as beach blankets and towels. Having a clothes washer and dryer in the cottage was a bonus for us, along with a designated parking spot. Check-out was easy and seamless.

We love this special retreat! This was our 2nd time and we will definitely be back! Love that you can walk anywhere and the privacy. Host is wonderful!

Perfect location to walk to everything. Such a lovely and comfortable home. The hosts go above and beyond with their welcome and what they provide. Little things like coffee, toiletries and plenty of towels to big things like a bottle of wine and small charcuterie. They are fantastic. We will be back and highly recommend them to anyone planning to visit Southport

I had a wonderful stay at the Bird Song Bungalow! The owner, Kelly, was incredibly sweet—she even stood in the rain waiting for me to arrive so I wouldn’t miss the property. The location is perfect: close to everything in Southport and easily walkable. I felt very safe, and the street is quiet and adorable.The bungalow itself was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated. I was welcomed with a thoughtful basket of wine, crackers, and cheese, which was such a lovely touch. The bed was super comfortable, and Kelly truly thought of everything when it comes to amenities—she had all the essentials and more.I’m already looking forward to staying again soon. Don’t miss this perfect location and amazing lodging!

Love this beautiful cottage. The moment we walked in I fell in love with it. So quiet and peaceful. It was close to everything if only the weather has been better although it took nothing away from our stay. I would rate it a 10. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

Kelly and Robert are amazing! Kelly answered all of our questions immediately and she was gracious enough to let us check in a day early at a last minute’s notice. The cottage was so cute and sweet. My husband and I felt at home and were very cozy. There was a beautiful welcome basket that included local cheeses and a bottle of wine. They thought of everything! It was very clean and located in a perfect area that is close to the water front and town. Thank you making our stay in Southport so memorable! A charming, comfortable cottage that is in walking distance of all the interesting shops, parks, restaurants and the must see Maritime Museum. A short drive to the Oak Island lighthouse, Carolina Crab Brewery, and NC Ferry -- places we visited.

We loved the cottage; it was perfect for us. No steps to climb, clean and comfortable. The location of the cottage was perfect. We walked everywhere! Only one complaint- mosquitoes and bugs which we were warned about by owner.

Great location! Walking distance to the water, places to eat and go shopping

This property was the perfect place to stay for a few nights in Southport! Kelly met us at the gate and was lovely! We walked to all the shops, to fish on the piers, and to eat at restaurants. The cottage was very clean and updated. It’s the perfect place to stay when visiting the area! You won’t regret it!

This was the perfect place to stay while on our anniversary trip to Southport for the weekend. It is close enough to walk to most things, yet private enough to enjoy some quiet time. The bottle of wine and cheeseboard were also such a sweet and generous touch. We will most definitely be coming back!

We chose the cottage to celebrate our 50th anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It’s just right for relaxing or strolling around the neighborhood. Great restaurants are only three blocks away and the waterfront is a terrific place to spend an afternoon! Bring your bikes and take a tour of the historic city of Southport. Traffic is not a problem and you can cover the entire area in a couple of hours. Kelly is very accommodating and even let us check in a little early. We will be going back!

Birdsong Cottage is absolutely charming. Exceeding our expectations in everyway. The cottage is within the heart of downtown Southport, and all the shops and restaurants it has to offer. This day was absolutely perfect. We were in town for the weekend, to visit friends, we rented a golf cart and made the most of it. The hostess was absolutely phenomenal pro providing everything that we need and then some beautiful. We’ll definitely be back.

I booked the Birdsong cottage for two nights this week. Kelly was a pleasure to work with. I feel like I met a new friend! Definitely plan to stay there again because we love Southport and this cottage is in an ideal location for our needs and for two of us, do not need anything larger. 5 ’s!

The owners were there to greet us and showed us where to park. Then lead us inside the sweetest cottage with a welcoming charcutery tray and wine. They told us details and were available

Very private and can walk to many (if not all) of Southport’s restaurants and shops. Spent anniversary with my wife. Cottage had all the amenities and hosts were excellent with communication and checkin. Looking forward to staying there again.

Had an absolute fantastic time here this weekend! Very clean, and the perfect space. I would recommend bring some bug stray if you plan to sit outside, but otherwise no complaints! Will definitely be coming back :)

Had a great 2 night stay at Kelly’s cottage! We stayed in Southport for Labor Day weekend and would DEFINITELY book again! Walkable distance to downtown shops/restaurants, a 15-min drive to the beach, private entry and parking! Welcome basket was such a kind touch and we loved little unexpected touches like coffee being in the cabinet and beach towels being provided. This was the perfect little cottage and we’d love to visit again!

The cottage is adorable! The pictures are accurate. Perfect location. Park the car in your private space and walk to the restaurants and shops and swings watching dolphins. Kelly is great to work with. Southport is a gem.

Bird Song Cottage is a real treat. It is centrally located, well appointed, clean, excellent secure Wi-Fi, and well furnished. I would highly recommend it and I would definitely go back to stay again. The hosts are very thoughtful and thorough with their information and preparation. Great find!

Loved this cottage! Perfect for a couple. So nice to have a charcuterie plate & bottle of wine waiting for us!! We could walk to restaurants & shops within 10 minutes. Kelly met us at the gate to walk to the cottage. Nice to have the owners so close. We live just 30 minutes away so this was a “staycation” for 2 nights. We love Southport! So many restaurants & shops! 1st night was a stop at American Fish for a drink then dinner at Edgewater 122. So yummy! Brunch next day at Cafe Koa, wine in the afternoon at Haven Southport, dinner at Dry Street Pub & Pizza. All excellent and so close to the Cottage! We highly recommend this cottage! 😍
