Stayed Sep 5, 2025This place could be really good but sadly due to the July floods in Texas the beach area is completely flooded and that was a big reason we got this place. The lake and the dock are amazing and also pretty private. The backyard is not fenced off and my dog actually ran away and we had to search for him for hours.

Stayed Sep 26, 2025We just returned from a very nice stay at this property on Lake Buchanan. Manager communicated well during 3 nights. House is attractive with great lake view. We used main 2nd floor bedroom with fabulous view. Kitchen was adequate with spices and cookware. Propane grill on back deck (which is large) worked well and we made multiple meals on it. However, as another recent guest noted there are multiple small maintenance issues. They dont cause significant problems. But, they should have been fixed prior to our stay. They are just regular home maintenance things in Texas. The ones worth mentioning are:-Rear deck needs to be resurfaced since much paint peeled away and dry boards-Swing cushions covered with insects and spider webs so not usable as is-Swings repaint since could cause splinters-2nd floor deck overgrown vines (I cut), no place sit, also resurface-vines overgrown driveway and steep stairs to house (only access) so I cut them back-provide access garage into house. Now, door locked-propane grill works but inside shelf broken and fell out-kitchen oven is so worn no decals on its controls so have to guess what to use. Also door leaks a lot of heat.-about 1/2 cookware is far too worn to use and should be tossed out** None of this prevents enjoying an excellent stay as the house is clean and comfortable in a great location. **I assign it 8/10 now. Fix the issues to go to 9.

Stayed Aug 8, 2025I'm not very good at writing reviews but i'll give it a shot....I guess ill start with the negatives (not many), the exterior of the house is a little worn but it gives it that old lake house charm. The coffee pot can be a pain in the butt to program but once you figure it out it works fine. The doors are a little out of whack and tend to stick when opening and closing. The hot tub wasn't unavailable but lets be honest, i wasnt going to use the hot tub when its a 101 degrees outside. There's a nice media/movie room but i wasnt a fan of the projection tv, there's alao only 1 dedicated tv in the home located in the 2nd bedroom, but again i wasn't going to this home to watch TV. With that said........The VIEW ALONE makes you forget any of the things i mentioned above, its absolutely perfect!!!!!! The sunsets from the pier are something out of a movie!!!!! The fishing pier is very nice, extending approximately 30 yards out into the lake. 1 thing i did forget to mention, due to the heavy rains and flooding in early July, the private beach is a little murky and muddy, i would suggest wearing water shoes to get to the pier until that atea dries up. My fiance and i brought 2 watertubes and 100 feet of rope, we climbed down the pier ladder, sat directly into our tubes, tide them off to pier and floated about 100 yards away from the pier, it was absolutely refreshing, relaxing, and peaceful. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting a peacful lake getaway!!!!!!!

Stayed Jun 23, 2025We loved our stay! The views and quiet location are exactly what we needed. I was delighted to wake up to views of the lake in the morning. The unique design of the place allows you to see the water from the master bed. I enjoyed drinking my morning coffee on the deck and more relaxing time with water views. The water isn’t close to the house, but the walk isn’t far and there was lots of space for the kids (and the dog) to explore. We used the water craft and life vests in the shed and had a lot of fun with them! But bring good shoes, there are a lot of sand spurs on the way down. There is a wonderful, secluded, country feel to the location. There’s tons of wildlife around the house (birds and deer) and in the mornings I could hear cows and a rooster in the distance. The beds were comfortable and we loved the new cookware and coffee maker in the kitchen. We would stay here again!

Stayed Jun 23, 2025My family and I loved our time at this lake house. The area is nicely secluded and there’s so much wildlife to enjoy. The quiet mornings on the deck overlooking the water were by far my favorite thing, in fact, we spent the greater part of our days out there. If you’re looking to relax this is your spot! The neighbors are not very close and there’s plenty of trees around the house, the whole area is very quiet and secluded. The lake itself is a short walk, and you have to watch out for sand spurs, but I loved that there was so much area for my boys to explore and enjoy looking for shells among the sand and rocks. We used the water craft and life vests provided in the shed and it was so fun! The place was very clean and the beds comfortable. We also used the new coffee maker and pans which were very nice. We missed the porch swing that was supposed to be on the dock down by the water, it must have broken recently (because it was in the listing pictures), but even without that we were delighted with the place. We visited Longhorn Cavern during our stay (just a 20 min drive) and totally recommend it to other travelers. We would stay here again!

Stayed Apr 10, 2025We enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. The home was very spacious and we enjoyed all the amenities including the keyboard piano, which we surprised it was there for us to enjoy playing. The projector was also a plus! Loved the lake view and enjoyed taking a ride with the canoe and even fished in the evening. Took amazing photos of the sunset and bluebonnets at the lake. Recommend to anyone that is looking for a relaxing and unplugged vacation.

Stayed Apr 3, 2025Our host was very quick to respond to questions (we only had a few). She cheerfully provided information about our surroundings and offered places to go and things to see while we were there. The property is huge with great views of the lake. We loved the typical hill country surroundings.

Stayed Mar 13, 2025Beautiful, clean, beach house. Very spacious with great views. Enjoyed having my morning coffee on the deck listening to the birds, spying deer passing through, and the fishing boats in the distance. Nights were comfortable, quiet, and restful. Our family will definitely choose this place again.

Stayed Mar 13, 2025Our family stayed 3 nights. We had beautiful views, beach house was spacious, pretty private, it was relaxing and comfortable. It was very clean! There are lots of stairs and that would be my only concern for an elderly person/disability.

Stayed Aug 4, 2024Compared to other locations we've rented in the past, the property was not worth the price for 2 nights. It lacked basic amenities like soap, shampoo, and body wash in the bathroom. Fortunately, I had some in my travel kit from a prior trip a few months ago. Additionally, the downstairs tub was clogged. The grills on the BBQ were too rusted to use, even after putting in the effort to scrape, scrub and wash them. We ended up cooking the steaks on the stovetop. The wooden stairs could use some updating as well. On the positive side, the location is quiet and rustic. The little beach was nice, and we enjoyed using the paddle board and inflatable canoe.
