Private Beachfront House on Bolivar Peninsula – Clean, Quiet & Steps to Sand

Very nice get away, right on the beach!

The property was gorgeous! Check in was super easy. David (the property manager) was very kind and communicative. We didn't have any issues. There was plenty of detergent for the washer/dryer and plenty of soap for the dishwasher. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for coming. The general store is a quick 10 min drive from the house. We had everything we needed for a relaxing 4 day get away. The house is far enough removed from the busier neighborhoods that the beach wasn't busy at all. And it's just a 30 second walk from the house. The patio shower made cleanup a breeze. The whole family, including the dogs, had a great time. We will definitely be booking this property again.

The house was very clean and decorated beautifully. The kitchen was stocked with everything that you would need to cook. The host answered our 1 question that we had very quickly. Very quiet which was suprising for us with it being spring break. Nice right on the beach. I really liked all the light switches being labled so there was no guessing at which one does what.

David responded quickly to my texts and his check in instructions and house rules were very clear and easy to follow. I appreciated the thoroughness of the instructions. The house was very clean and kitchen utensils, cookware and dishes all well stocked. We truly enjoyed the on-the-beach experience using the deck every day! The house was well decorated and furnished. This location is on our radar for another visit.

We had a wonderful, low-key stay at this beach house. The home was very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The balcony was my favorite spot — perfect for morning coffee and evenings watching the waves. We even spotted dolphins and enjoyed a little people-watching while listening to the ocean. The views were beautiful and truly made it feel like a getaway.Mosquitoes were a nuisance, especially around dusk and when there’s little wind, mainly on the lower level and at the beach. Just come prepared with bug spray and light clothing to cover up.This is a great place to unwind. Pack your clothes, food, and toiletries — everything else is taken care of. Amazing views, relaxing atmosphere, and toes in the sand. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay was amazing. The house was absolutely perfect as pictured. Just a few steps from the beach is a big plus. We stayed September 18-21 and had the beach all to ourselves. Everything about the house felt like home. I highly recommend staying here. David the host is very friendly. Just book it and you will not be sorry

We had a great time being right on the beach. House was clean and spacious so we weren’t cramped in. Took the ferry to Galveston and a little shopping. Everyone enjoyed the ferry ride. David was on top of things when we had an issue in the kitchen. Really enjoyed staying at Shore Beats Work.

We absolutely loved sitting on the big covered porch watching the sunrise and sunset! Beachfront property that had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

This beach house is awesome! It is right on the beach and easy beach access. It is very clean and provides everything you need. The deck is great to sit out and over look the ocean. We will definitely come back here!

Shore Beats Work did not disappoint. Fantastic location right on the beach and a very nice house. Only issue was the mosquitos, but there was even a warning to come prepared with bug spray in the check in instructions! My family had a fantastic time this was just the break we needed. Every thing was as advertised. Views were wonderful and the beach is a few steps away. House was awesome. Air conditioning worked really well and we always had plenty of hot water. I’ll stay there again in the near future

Great vacation and loved being at beachside nearest to gulf. Semi-Privateness of beach was a plus also. Kids enjoyed beach boards and shell searching. Also ferry to Galveston and attractions there as well as restaurants there in Port Bolivar/Crystal Beach. Groceries handy at the Big Store and Dollar General. Loved seeing Pelicans and Seagulls fly over on the front deck and TVs in evening at bedtime. Kids loved feeding the birds bread and donuts! Comfortable rental and would like to return some day! Also 2 of our party did a fishing tour in gulf and we went on Dolphin Boat Tour with the children in Galveston - great for all!

The property itself was clean and you had most everything you could possibly need. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked well. It also passed the clorox wipe test as I always wipe everything down when we check in anywhere and so that was impressive. BUT the sheets.....they smelled clean but they were stained and that is an ick for me. I had a Super 8 flashback from when I was a kid but this is not super 8 pricing so the sheets need an upgrade but otherwise good.

We have stayed in Bolivar 3 times now. This is by far our best experience and accommodations. The communication with David was immediate and helpful. Even when our daughter forgot some items in a closet, David was on it right away.We like to leave properties as we find them if not better. We picked up blown in trash from the dunes without stepping in the dunes.We created a path to the beach to help us navigate us (and the neighbors) the best route to the beach, protecting the dunes. The house is well equipped. Everything you could possibly need. Beds are comfortable. The house was spotless.Most of our stay we have the beach, moonrises and sunsets to ourselves.We will make this place our new annual place to stay. Thank you David for making our stay perfect.

Really enjoyed our stay. The house is in perfect condition and as close to the water as reasonably possible. Loved the comfy beds. Watched streaming movies each night on the large TV. Great wifi. Sat on the porch watching the birds and the waves. Will definitely go back!

We had an amazing stay at this property! Upon our arrival, we were blown away by the ocean views in such a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. The location was the best part—on the beach, allowing us to enjoy morning shelling and walks on the sand.The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The house is beautiful, well maintained and right on the beach. Breathtaking views of the Gulf of America. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation home. Looking forward to staying at this property in the future.

Grandchildren were on break for Mardi Gras (they live in S. Louisiana) I tried to tell them that they wouldn't be able to swim the first week of March, but they insisted we go. We played games, cooked, made several trips down to the beach. There are a lot of stairs and didn't realize until we had hauled everything up that there was a lift. Sure made leaving easier. The house sounds small when you read the square footage, but it is very roomy and comfortable. Spotlessly clean and freshly painted. Do no hesitate to stay here - can't beat the access to the beach.

Overall our family really enjoyed our stay. The home is located right on the beach, you cannot get any better. We really enjoyed the quieter area of Gilchrist, although that may not be for everyone. The home was very nice and had all the amenities we needed. Our only reason for the 4 star review is due to the weather during our stay. We ended up without power for about 2 days, which is something we’ve learned can be common in the area. It definitely complicated things for us. The house only had 1 very dim flashlight. We had to go to the Big Store and buy a flashlight (which were very spendy), lighters, candles, cooler and ice. We lost all our freezer foods. Thankfully the rest of our family hadn’t arrived, otherwise the additional expense of going out to eat would have been a lot.

Spacious, right on the beach, and exactly what we were looking for! Coffee on the balcony is the way to start the day!

Beautiful property and great location.

The house itself was beautifully appointed with comfortable furnishings and modern amenities. The spacious living area provided ample room for relaxation, while the well-equipped kitchen made preparing meals a breeze. The bedrooms were cozy and inviting, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of sunbathing and swimming.

Love the place and Location. Only problem is the youngest in our group was 70. Had a tough time getting our stuff upstairs. Be niece if we could get someone to use the lift when we arrive and leave.

This was our second year staying at this property. The views are amazing and the house is clean and well maintained. We highly recommend this property. David, our host, was on top of communication with us. This year brought a lot of questions due to Francine making its way through the Gulf. We appreciate all of the help and advice he provided. We can not wait to book our next trip.

The view doesn’t get any better than this. Beach right in front with beautiful sunrises. Clean, comfortable home with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The host had excellent communication. We hated to leave and look forward to staying here again.

There always seems to be little things you wish your rental had that others have or you at one point had. These can be deciding factors when booking a rental. I can say without a doubt the communication with the host in the emergency situation was by far the most excellent service we have ever received. Despite the conditions the hurricane caused, the quick response, prompt communication and willingness to not only cancel with full refund days before arrival but accommodate Us in anyway he could is more than enough to make us want to stay Again. The house was beautiful and perfect our family. Another plus is it was stocked with quite a bit of things we had packed with the intentions of it not being available. 10/10 recommended booking this house and with this host.

The only issue I would remark on is that the You are under survailance.... cameras were VERY annoying and we did not enjoy that. Thanks
