Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.
The Neighborhood:
TREASURE ISLAND: Stop by the local convenience store to snag some basic supplies and beverages, fill your bait bucket and/or rent a golf cart. Enjoy the Gulfside's uncrowded pedestrian beach (no cars allowed for 300 yards but golf carts welcomed) where you can setup your group's spot for the day on the beach to build sandcastles, jump in the surf, find unique shells and sand dollars, boogie board, shore & surf fish and build an evening bonfire. Or if preferred, utilize the available launch for your boat or fishing pier on the bayside. Some much to do so little time!
Getting Around:
SAN LUIS PASS:
San Luis Pass and Treasure Island have been known all over the United States for being a saltwater fishing hotspot and the most amazing sunrises & sunsets! It is 15 minutes from Surfside and across the bridge from Galveston's west end and only about 25-30 minutes to the heart of Galveston Island's activities. Most people come to the area to spend quality 'non-commercialized" time with family, extended family, and friends!

All 979 Vacation Property Services rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - No Security Deposit Required!
CANCELLATION POLICY:
For any new reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations.
After that, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less the booking fee.
Reservations made on 3rd party channels such as Airbnb, VRBO, TripAdvisor, etc may be subject to their terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. Please reference the site where you originally reserved your stay.

It's a beautiful island to visit, and this place is a great option for a vacation home. There's plenty of privacy, as it is on the end of the road with the beach on one side (short walk). It's close to the bay as well if you want to fish. The house is very well maintained, clean, and we had no issues with anything. Definitely would stay here again.

What a find! We wanted to return to Galveston but wanted some space and quiet away from the crowds. I was afraid this place at the price and availability was going to be a nightmare but it was amazing! The deck allowed us to watch the waves and relax, we had space to spread out, and since we were far enough away from everything the family couldn’t order out and we had to make due with what we had. The welcome basket was helpful for basic essentials, the kitchen had everything we needed for meals and the beach was a short walk away. We ordered groceries on our drive down for curbside to go. There is a Kroger and Walmart in Galveston (crowded) or a Walmart in Lake Jackson and a small food mart in Surfside. We loved the cleanliness of the beach here especially compared to the others down the way. Check the deck box before heading to the store. We left boogie boards along with some sand chairs that were there before.
Very clean property with very nice furnishings. The vacation rental management company was very communicative and instructions were easy to follow. There was a mosquito/horse-fly problem, but that can't be blamed on the property or owners as it was prevalent all over the island and we did witness 'pest fogging' services taking place one evening. So no blame whatsoever there, simply the location and seasonal conditions. A very nice property that I would definately recommend.
Well, it's a great place, and a great location. Clean, comfortable, and the ocean views are fantastic. However, unlike other vacation rentals, there are no essential cooking supplies, I mean ZERO. So buy salt and pepper and shakers, and oil, spices...
Convenient yet quiet location, anything you could want in a property from bath to kitchen, and the best are the beach views and miles of walkable beach 2 min from the door. The bridge to Galveston ($2.- ea way) is 2 min away and Galveston center about 40 min. Groceries and restaurants are better in Lake Jackson. Surf side Beach is not worth even stopping… San Luis is this gem you’re looking for but don’t want anybody else to know about. We loved the property and def. Will be back!
We had the pleasure of staying a week and loved every minute of it. It has a gorgeous beach view, the beach is walkable for miles and super clean. The house is really well maintained and equipped with anything you could need in a beach house. It is quiet, close to Galveston and yet very private..
The house is clean and welcoming. The house has nice views of the Gulf and Bay from the deck. Beach access is only a few streets away and we were able to drive over and park by the walkway. Nice family getaway
This home was so comfortable and included much more than expected. A 6 chair/outdoor dining table (not pictured) with covered patio was my favorite spot for morning coffee and our 4th of July feast! Lots of cooking utensils and pots. We cooked a lot and everything I needed was there. Blender, both types of coffee makers a blender and ice maker! I hated to leave! So close to beach and the ocean breezes were amazing!! The property staff was very responsive to the one maintenance item we had. You’ll love the huge deck and the unobstructed views of the gulf and bay. DJ
