Stayed Aug 2, 2025We really enjoyed our stay at The Whippoorwill. There was plenty of room for family to gather, and spaces to curl up with a book when you're ready for some quiet. The private beach is an easy walk just down the street, or a two minute drive. The kitchen is well equipped and the pantry well stocked with essentials, and beds were comfortable.

Stayed Jul 26, 2025As indicated by other reviews, this property is not a brand spanking new modern beach house. But with its privacy, great access to terrific beach, and spaciousness, it has a lot going for it. Communication with host was easy. Would stay there again

Stayed Aug 10, 2024Place was nice and we'd stay there again. We loved the neighborhood and the beach. The shed with beach items and ping pong table was a plus Few Drawbacks: The cleaning service did not do a great job, one of the bedrooms were especially dirty. The refrigerator/freezer could probably use replacement soon.

Stayed Jul 20, 2024We have stayed at this property many, many times over the last 20+ years. The kitchen and bathrooms need to be renovated. (e.g. Toilet seat hinge broken. Toaster oven too ancient to be safe.)

Stayed Aug 19, 2023Beautiful large yard with lots of privacy. House was warm and cozy but was like a maze. Need to label light switches as they are not where expected. Cleaning between tenants was lacking and furniture pads on screened porch really stunk.
