PRIVATE BEACH

The house is beautiful, absolutely loved the master bedroom and on-suite. The view of the lake was fantastic. I love to cook and particularly chose a place with a nice kitchen and it did not disappoint. It was well stocked, even the knives were good quality. The family/TV room is also top notch, it was important as baseball playoffs were happening while we were there. The 4 stars I gave for cleanliness was due to the outside needing some TLC, the inside of the house was clean.

Very well supplied!! We did a fair amount of cooking and didn’t lack for anything! The beach was fabulous.

We had a family reunion of 4 adult couples and we had tonnes of room to sleep, play games and hang out!!. Having three bathrooms was amazing! The kitchen was very well stocked. Having said that, although we inquired about coffee makers ahead of our visit, we didn’t know we needed to provide CONE shaped coffee filters (and clearly others didn’t either as there were tonnes of regular filters in the cupboard). Also, there was no where to hang wet bath towels. No hooks or towel racks. Although house rules were emailed to us, we couldn’t find the book in the house for all to access. Everyone was helpful, but responses from the property manager were a bit slow. Lastly, there was only one lamp in the middle bedroom and it was broken.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this property. After our stay, the owners attempted to hold us responsible for damage that clearly pre-existed and was normal wear and tear. They submitted photos only to VRBO not myself after our departure that did not reflect anything caused during our time there.This situation left me very upset because it cast a shadow over what was supposed to be a special family vacation. Thankfully, VRBO reviewed the case and resolved it fairly, but it was stressful to deal with.I am sharing this review to help future guests be aware of my experience. The property itself was fine, but I felt the way the owners handled the post-stay process was not fair or transparent.

It’s a beautiful property and directly on the beach. The only downside to that is there were a lot of bugs and hard to keep the patio clean. I reached out during our stay for a minor issue and didn’t hear back which was odd. Overall a wonderful stay and beautiful house and location. Plenty of space inside.
