Private 30-Acre Escape Near Torch Lake and Northern Michigan Attractions

Clean, up to date fixtures and decor. Would have been nice to know the grill was charcoal so we could be better prepared. No wifi services

Happy with our stay in this updated cabin in the woods. We did haul a boat and if others plan to do so this is off the beaten path. Had no trouble getting in, we just went nice and slow. Really wish we had WiFi but we all survived without it. But harder to look up places to go and things to do. Had fun watching some of the old movies. Really wish there were a few discs to play disc golf. My teenagers would have had fun trying that out. We always like to stay somewhere quiet and this was great. Wish a few more windows opened. Overall happy with the place.

The property & trails are Gorgeous! The peace & quiet was very relaxing after a stressful year! House had what we needed. Dog related extras came in handy, brought all the stuff but, the food bowls! You had those! Fabulous!

The house was comfortable and clean. Beautiful , peaceful setting. Quick access to Torch Lake, Alden, 45 minutes from Traverse City. Large family table for meals and board games/cards. Plenty of cooking items, dishes & appliances. Nice firepit and charcoal grill area with bug screening option. Our dog enjoyed the nature and larger space to play with us. Yard needs some attention and unfortunately we could not use the disc golf course due to the thigh-high picker bushes. This is a quiet setting and lots of room outdoors.

Cabin was very private and overall perfect for our trip. I took a star off for the kitchen dishes and pan cleanliness. We washed before using. I was also surprised i didnt receive a response when i texted the owner.

Very nice accommodations fire pit big bathroom can sleep 8. Very quiet plenty of room. Looks like WI-FI is coming soon.

Locking and unlocking the main gait when entering and leavingJacuzzi tub didn't work when taking a bathNo WIFI Small TVOnly one heating/cooling unit in the dining area for the entire house. SPIDERS!!! We stayed 3 nights and on the last day we say 5 spiders in the house! I understand we are in the woods but it's obviously been a problem for some time. There is a book where travelers have written messages during their stay and in 2023 someone mentioned spiders being an issue!

The view from the window was amazing! Quiet, clean and full of privacy. Only 10 mins to Torch lake,We even saw the Aurora at night time.

The location and property are perfect if you are looking for a step away from the normal hustle and bustle of life. This cabin is on land back in the woods that makes it feel very secluded from the outside world. During our stay we enjoyed a fire under the star lit and Northern lights in the sky. They have just about everything you'll need for your stay. If you are wanting to grill they have charcoal grill you'll just need the charcoal and lighter fluid. Also make sure you bring a lighter or something to light your fire with as they didn't have one available. Overall this is a great cabin.

We enjoyed our stay. We were up there for a fishing tournament and there was plenty of parking for our trucks and boats. What a nice, quiet, beautiful setting!

We had an amazing week at the property! We had a couple little questions at check-in and Marissa was amazingly responsive and helpful. We had a great time relaxing on this beautiful property, the dog had fun and we had a fire every night.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very private and so peaceful. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the gazebo and fire pit. This property was located close to all the things we wanted to. There was plenty of parking for our boat. We would definitely stay here again.

Had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. We loved hiking around the property and loved the firepit area. Close to Torch and Lake Bellaire. Most relaxing vacation we have had in awhile!

We loved staying at Marissa's place. We took advantage of the great seating area behind the house and enjoyed a bonfire. The house itself was nice and we had everything we needed, but found ourselves wishing the hosts had provided wifi. Other than that, it was lovely!
