Stayed Mar 18, 2026It was a perfect getaway for us with two little dogs. We were escaping the heat of Palm Springs. The patio area was so nice, walking distance to restaurants and enjoyed morning walks to Carlsbad which also had many good restaurants. We would definitely recommend South O and will come back.

Stayed Mar 23, 2026Property was extremely pet friendly! Bungalow and common areas were well-maintained and clean. Cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was adequate. Location was not too far to amenities. About a 10-minute drive to the pier and beach/harbor area. Overall great stay!

Stayed Sep 12, 2025Excellent communication and easy check-in and check-out. The bungalow is tasteful decorated and had everything we needed for a short weekend getaway. Location was great with restaurants, coffee shops, and a small market in walking distance. You can even walk to downtown Carlsbad Village from the place. The minor downside is that it is off of Coast Highway which can be busy and loud so it was not so enjoyable for the outdoor space and keeping windows open at night. I would still consider staying again for the convenience.
